Growing tomatoes

Tomatoes are one of the favorite vegetables of the entire world population. Growing this plant occupies one of the leading positions among all vegetables. That is why tomato growers are constantly looking for ways to increase productivity, get a quality product with a good brand appearance, and reach their store shelves in a beautiful condition and have high consumer qualities. How can all this be achieved using modern agro-technological methods?
Seed selection is the most responsible stage. Despite the fact that there are so many varieties of varieties, on the shelves of stores we find a few varieties of tomatoes. What is the reason for this? Primarily related to the issue of sales. Tomatoes should be grown in excellent condition, without losses and delivered to the place of sale. Therefore, the following requirements are set for tomatoes: high yield, beautiful brand appearance, sufficient mechanical durability and durability of shelf life. Naturally, we unequivocally recommend the use of F1 hybrids for cultivation, many of which differ in their resistance to various diseases, including viral diseases, in addition to the features listed above.
Irrigation and fertilization.
Mulching (mulching) is the most effective way to reduce costs and get a good harvest, creating favorable conditions for plants.
It is best to use a special mulching film as mulch. When using a mulching film, it is necessary to use drip irrigation. Before covering the row or ridge with mulch film, the drip irrigation gut is laid directly in the middle of this ridge.
Depending on the soil and climatic conditions of the growing region, depending on the type of soil, the soil is treated in such a way as to obtain high or low buds. Usually a tractor milling cutter is used for this purpose, which pulls the furrow in the desired section.
After laying the drip irrigation gut along the center of the formed tuber, cover it with a mulch film. This is the most optimal way to obtain a morning crop.
After the drip irrigation bowls are laid, the mulching film is covered, and when the seedlings are planted in rows, a film-like tunnel-like cover is applied over the buds. Such low tunnels significantly accelerate the development of plants after transplanting seedlings into the soil, as well as protect plants from spring frosts. For such tunnels, a low-cost, thin transparent film is used and laid on top of arcs made of 4 mm diameter steel wire.
Such covers allow to harvest 2-3 weeks earlier than when planted in the usual way.
The film tunnels will be removed as soon as the threat of spring frosts passes and stable weather conditions arrive.
