Muhammad Rasulullah
This story is about a person who seeks the absolute truth, the divine light…. The story of Salman al-Farsi. We refer to our protagonist himself to tell his details. In any case, it is both believable and interesting to hear the story from the person’s own mouth.
The story of Salmon:
- I was a Persian living in the village of Jabbon in Isfahan. My father was a farmer of the village (kadhudo, chairman) and had a reputation and wealth according to his position. He loved me more than his soul, the earth did not believe in heaven. He would never let me go far, sometimes even locking me in the house and locking me up. I was strongly committed to paganism. For this devotion I was tasked to keep an eye on the fire we were praying for, to ensure that it burned continuously, day and night, without a moment's extinction.
We had a large plot of land where grain was grown. During the planting and harvesting seasons, my father was mostly in the field. One day my father's work in the village became so busy that he could not go anywhere. Call me:
"Son, I can't go to the field today." Instead, go and tell me I'm not here. '
I left our place. There was a Christian synagogue on the way. As I passed him, I heard different voices inside. These sounds caught my attention.

I am thankful for my father’s kindness, which he has never taken to the streets before, including many things, including Christianity. and I was ignorant of other religions as well. Curious to know what the voices coming out of the church meant, I went inside. I liked the Christian prayer. Feeling encouraged by this religion:
"By God, their religion is better than ours," I said.
I was in the church that day until sunset. I didn't even go to the field:
"Where is your religion?" I asked. I was told, "In the evening."
When I got home late, my father asked me what I was doing in the field.
“Father, I saw some people praying in the synagogue. I liked their religion. I stayed with them till evening, 'I said.
My father's eyes filled with laughter.
"Remember, son." There is no good in that religion. He prefers the religion of his forefathers, ”he said in horror.
- No, I insisted, - their religion is a thousand times better than ours.
My frightened father put me in chains and locked me in the house, fearing that I would renounce my religion.

I found a way and sent a man to the Christians, saying, "If there is a caravan going from your temple to Damascus, let me know." Soon such a message came. I tried and untied the shackles. I left the house without telling anyone. When I reached the caravan, I went with them to Damascus. Arriving at the address:
"Who knows this religion best?" I asked.
"So-and-so is the bishop of the church," they told me.
I found that man:
- I liked Christianity. So that you may allow me to participate in your prayers, to be your servant, and to serve you, so that I may learn more about the religion. '
Usquf agreed, and in no time I knew he was a bad man. He commands people to give alms and promises great rewards, and when they leave anything for charity in the way of God, He takes it all and does not give a penny to the poor and needy. In this way he collected seven hums of gold. I hated him so badly for what he did. So when the usquf died and the Christians were present for his burial, I uncovered all his secrets.
"Your leader was a bad man," I told them. "He would order you to give alms, take care of everything that came to him, and give nothing to the needy and the poor."
They don't believe me:
"How do you know?" They asked.
I said, "Come on, I'll show you his treasure," and showed them the place where the seven hums were hidden, full of limmo-lim gold and silver up to their throats. The Christians were furious with their leaders. They even refused to bury him and hung his body on a tree. It was not enough that the lifeless corpse was stoned.
A few days later a new usquf was elected. He was a man who was utterly displeased with the pleasures of this world, who was extremely fond of the Hereafter, and who prayed day and night. I liked him and did my best to serve him. As his death approached:
"Teacher, who are you going to leave me with?" Whose service will I be after you? I asked.
"Son, there are no people like me left." But there is a man in the place called Mawsil. That man is holding on to his religion and not changing it. That's it, 'he said.
After the death of my master, I went to a seasonal man. Telling all my adventures:
"Taksir, so-and-so told me that you adhered to the true religion and bequeathed me to be in your service," I said.
He accepted me. During my ministry I saw only good things from him, but soon his last hour was also approaching. Before death:
"It looks like God's fate is upon you." You know what I’m aiming for. Don't miss your last piece of advice, who should I go to? I said.
"My boy," he whispered, "God forbid, there are very few people like us." There is a man named Falonchi in Nassibin (the name of a village in present-day Turkey).
I held the funeral and made my way to Nassibi. I found the righteous one there and told him my teacher's will, as well as what I had seen and experienced. He took me into his service and during the time we spent together, he showed himself just as well as his two previous brothers. On the eve of his death, I asked him one last question:
"My goal is not hidden from you." What advice would you give?
- My son, there is no one left in our religion except Falonchi from Amur. Go and see him there, ”he said.
I went to Ammuria and became a disciple of that man. Indeed. he was steadfast in the way of my former teachers. Walking in his service, I raised a number of cows and sheep. When my master's day was over and his life was coming to an end, I asked the question I had become accustomed to:
"You know my purpose." What should I do? To whom does the disciple fall?
"Son, by God, I don't know of anyone left on earth who holds fast to our religion." But the time of a prophet coming out of the land of the Arabs is near. He is sent with the religion of Abraham. Expelled from his city, he migrates to a city where many palm trees are planted, surrounded by black mountain rocks eroded by the wind. He has a few signs to keep in mind. The Prophet accepts the gift and does not touch the alms. There is a prophetic seal between the two corners. If you hear the tree of the city I told you about, go, 'he bequeathed.
I stayed in Amur for a few days after the death of my teacher. When the merchants of the Kalb tribe of the Arabs came, they were told:
"If you take me with you to the land of the Arabs, I will give you all my cows and sheep," I said.
They agreed. I gave my cattle as agreed and joined the caravan of traders. When we reached Vadil Qura (the valley between Madinah and Damascus), the Kalbis betrayed me and sold me as a slave to a Jew. I began to serve him. A few days later, my cousin Banu Qurayza, who had come to visit my master, bought me. We went to Yathrib. There I saw the dates mentioned by my Amurian master and knew that I had come to the city of the prophet. After that, my heart was much clearer. The Prophet was calling his people to Islam in Mecca at this time, but I was engaged in the heavy duties entrusted to my neck by the demands of slavery, and I had never heard of him.

Soon the Prophet migrated to Yathrib. At the time, I was busy pruning branches on top of a palm tree. My master was sitting in the shade. At that moment one of the Jews came and said:
- May Allah destroy Banu Qaila (the Aws and Khazraj tribes of the Arabs living in Madinah). Notice that they went out to Mecca to meet a man who came from Mecca and claimed to be a prophet.
I was so excited to hear this news. My limbs trembled as if I had malaria. I hurried downstairs, knowing that if I stood in the tree for another moment, I would fall right on top of my master. He went to the Jew and said:
- What did you say? back, what did you say? I began to ask again and again. My boss was furious. He punched me in the head and said:
"What are you doing, puppy?" Climb the tree and do your job, 'he shouted.

When it was late, I put the dates I had gathered in a bowl and went to the place where the prophet had fallen. Entering him:
“People say that you are a righteous man, that your brothers around you are poor and needy. I had packed these dates to donate. I think you are more entitled to this charity than anyone else, ”I said, placing the container in front of him.
He said to his companions, "Take it," but he did not extend his hand. “That’s the first sign,” I said to myself.
A few days later, the Prophet came to Madinah from Quba. During this time I had accumulated a lot of dates. Taking the opportunity, I went to the Prophet and handed him the palm bowl:
"I have seen that you do not eat alms, but this is a gift, please accept it," I said.
He tasted the dates and invited his companions to eat as well. "It's the second one," I said to myself.
When one of the Muslims died and all the believers went to Baqiul Gharqad Cemetery to bury him, I followed them. The Prophet was sitting on the edge of the tomb covered with a blanket. I greeted him and moved to the back, eager to see the seal that my Amurian owner had said. The Prophet, upon him be peace and blessings, saw me staring and seemed to sense my purpose. He lowered his veil a little. "As far as I can see, there is a seal between his two shoulders!" I couldn’t help but hug the Messenger of Allah, kiss him and start crying. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
"What happened to you?" They asked.
I recounted my adventures without dripping. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) liked my story. He ordered the Companions to tell me my fate. The Companions, who heard what I saw and experienced, learned a lot, and after so much suffering, they rejoiced that I had finally attained the truth.

Blessed are the days when Salman al-Farsi wandered in various places in search of the Truth!
Blessed is the day when Salman al-Farsi found the Truth and immediately believed!
Blessed is the day of his death and resurrection !!!

Taken from Dr. Abdurahman Rafat al-Basha's book The Story of the Faithful Companions (Tashkent, Uzbekistan, 1997).
This event took place on Trench Day in the fifth year of the Hijrah. At that time, some of the Jewish nobles set out for Mecca. Their goal was to gather the polytheists, gather the tribes against the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and the Muslims, and agree to help each other in a decisive battle that would uproot this new religion.
A treacherous battle plan was drawn up. According to him, the Quraysh and Ghatafan armies will attack Madinah from the outside, while Banu Qurayza will attack from the inside, from behind the ranks of the Muslims. Then the Muslims will be stuck between two millstones and turn into ready-made meat, leaving only a memory of them!
On this day, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and the Muslims suddenly heard the news of the innumerable army approaching Madinah with weapons that were superior in number and capable of destroying. The Muslims did not know what to do. Suddenly their minds flew from their heads in fear.
This is described in the Qur'an as follows: “Then they came from above you and from below you. At that time your eyes were closed and your hearts were stuck in your throats, and you began to doubt Allah ”(Al-Ahzab, 10).
Twenty-four thousand warriors, led by Abu Sufyan and Uyayna ibn Hisn, were approaching Madinah in order to besiege Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), his religion and his Companions, and to strike a decisive blow.
This army did not consist only of the Quraysh itself. Perhaps every tribe and interest that saw itself in danger in Islam was with the Quraysh. It was the last and decisive attempt of all the enemies of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) - individuals, communities, tribes and interests.
Muslims found themselves in a very difficult situation. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) gathered his Companions for advice. Naturally, they gathered to discuss defense and war, but what kind of defense?
Then a tall, handsome man came forward who showed boundless love and respect for the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
Salmon Farsi stepped forward and looked intently at Madinah over the high hill. Surrounded by rocks around the city, but there was also a wide and long space - a plain where the enemy could easily break through the defenses. Salmon, who was in his native Persia, was aware of the many weapons of war and the tricks of war. He told the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) an offer that the Arabs had never seen before in the wars. The offer was to dig about all the open spaces around Madinah.
If Muslims had not dug a trench in this expedition, Allah knows what they would have experienced. When the Quraysh saw the ditch, they were shocked by such an unexpected trick. Their armies were unable to break into Madinah and stayed in their tents for a month. One night Allah sent a very strong wind against them, knocking down their tents and destroying them like steam.
Abu Sufyan shouted in despair, crushed and exhausted, ordering him to march towards the place where he had come to the army.

Salmon was among the zealous Muslims in digging the trench. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) also took a handkerchief and sweated with them.
Where Salmon was working with his companions, his sledgehammer hit a text, unbreakable rock. He was a strong man with a strong back, and every time he struck with his strong hands, he would crush the rock, and its pieces would scatter around. But in the face of this stone he was helpless. They also tried to work with those around them, but their efforts only increased. Salman went to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and asked permission to change the direction of the pit so as not to waste energy on this immovable, stubborn rock.
The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) went with Salman to see the place and the stone with his own eyes. When they saw him, they ordered him to bring a pitcher and asked his companions to stand a little farther from the place where the pieces of stone were thrown.
Saying “Bismillah”, they raised their two blessed hands with determination and struck the rock. At one point, it cracked and a dazzling flame spread from the cracks.
Seeing this, Salman said, "The flames lit up the outskirts of Madinah." The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said takbeer and shouted, “Allaahu akbar! I was given the keys to the Persians. From the light appeared the palaces of Wonder, the lands of Kisro. Of course, my ummah will win over them! ”
On the third blow, the rock showed its surrender, shining with its strong and bright light. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and the Muslims with him said the takbeer out of joy. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) informed them that he had now seen the palaces of Syria, Sana'a and other countries where one day he would come and wave the banner of Allaah in the sky. The Muslims shouted with complete faith, “This is the promise of Allah and His Messenger to us. Allah and His Messenger speak the truth. ”
Salmon became a consultant in digging trenches. When he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) for help, he became the owner of a rock that revealed some unseen and future secrets. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was one of those who saw the light with them and heard their prophecies.
His life was fulfilled and he saw the prophecies as a living truth and a living reality. He saw Persian and Greek countries. He saw the palaces of Sana'a, Syria, Egypt and Iraq.
He saw the blessed voice, which trembled all over the earth, radiate from the high fruits, radiating the rays of guidance and goodness!

Here he is, sitting in front of his courtyard in Madoin, in the shade of a branched, leafy tree. He tells his interlocutors about his wonderful adventures on the path of truth, how the Persian people abandoned their religion and converted to Christianity and then to Islam.
How to sell in the slave market in search of the truth…
He narrates how he met the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and how he believed.
“One day a caravan passed in front of us. I asked about their countries. Then I knew they were from the Arabian Peninsula. I said to them, "If you take me to your country, I will give you these sheep and cows in return." They said, "That's enough."
I accompanied them until they reached a place called Vodial-Qura. And there they wronged me and sold me to a Jew. I saw a lot of dates here. I hoped that the city that had been described to me, the soon-to-be-arrived Prophet, would emigrate. But that did not happen.
I stayed at the house of the person who bought me. Finally a Jew from Bani Qurayzah came and bought me and then took me to Madinah. I swear by Allah that when I saw it, I believed that this was the city described to me.
I worked in a palm grove in Bani Qurayzah and lived with this Jew. Meanwhile, Allah sent His Messenger and he came to Medina and landed at Quba, which belonged to Bani Amr ibn Awf.
I was on top of a date one day. My master was sitting under a tree. One of his cousins, a Jew, came to him and said, "May God destroy the Bani Qaila. They think that the one who came from Mecca and stood in Quba is a prophet."
I swear to God, I shuddered at the thought of saying that. The palm was shaking and I was falling on my master! He hurried down and said, “What did you say? Has a prophet come? ” I asked.
My boss raised his hand and punched me. Then he said, “What are you doing? Go, go to work! ” he said.
I went back to work… I went in late and packed up everything I had. Then I set out to go to the residence of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in Quba. When I entered, they were sitting with some of their companions. I told them, “You are poor and needy. I had food, which I had vowed for charity. I was told your address, and I brought it to you because I knew you were right. ”
Then I put it on the ground and the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to his Companions, 'Eat it in the name of Allaah,' and they did not extend their hands to the food.
I said to myself, "By Allah, this is the first sign… He does not eat charity!" I said.
When I arrived at my destination, I returned in the morning with food and returned to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). And he said, “I knew you would not eat alms. I have chosen to present to you as a gift what I have just brought. ”I put it in front of them. He said to his Companions, "Eat in the name of Bismillah," and they tasted it.
I said to myself, "This is a sign, I swear by Allah, the second one: He will eat the gift!" I said.
Then I went home and stood as Allah willed. Then I came again. I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in Baqi, following a funeral procession. Companions around. A coat on his shoulders… I greeted him and turned to look behind him. They knew what I wanted and removed the debris from their shoulders: the seal of prophethood stood between their two shovels…
I lean over and kiss and cry. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) called me. Sitting in front of them, I told you my whole past as I told you.
Then I converted to Islam… Being a slave prevented me from participating in the expeditions to Badr and Uhud…
One day the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, 'Make correspondence with your master.' I wrote a letter and ordered the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to help me in my work. Allah freed me from slavery and I began to live as a free Muslim. I took part in the Battle of the Trench with the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and witnessed other incidents.
What do we expect from the Islam of a person who is sincere and sincere?
His Islam was abror, like the Islam of the pious. He was very similar to 'Umar ibn Khattab in his asceticism, intelligence and piety.
For some time he lived in the same yard with Abu Dardo. Abu Dardo used to pray at night and fast during the day. Salmon criticized his exaggeration in prayer.
One day Salmon tried to dissuade him from his intention of fasting supererogatory.
Abu Dardo rebuked him and said, "Will you forbid me from fasting and praying to my Lord?"
Salmon replied, “Of course you have the right of your eyes, of course you have the right of your family. Fast, keep your mouth open, pray and sleep. ”When this reached the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), he said,“ Salman is full of knowledge. ”
Salman has lived with the Companions as a free Muslim, a mujahid and an obedient since he met the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and became a believer.
For most of these years, Islamic flags filled the horizon. Treasures and goods flowed to Madinah, and life became more prosperous.
It was a time when the responsibilities of domination at various levels increased, and, of course, positions and positions rose accordingly.
Where was Salmon in this optimistic period? Where do we find it in these prosperous, rich and blessed days?
* * *
As you sit in the shade, do you see this magnificent old man weaving straw and weaving various utensils and baskets?
And Salmon!
Take a closer look…
He has a lot of income. He earned four to six thousand a year. But he was spreading it all to the people. He would not take a dirham, and he would say, “I will buy straw for one dirham, process it, and then sell it for three dirhams. I spend another dirham on raw materials, spend one dirham on my family, and donate the remaining dirham. Even if 'Umar ibn Khattab forbids me, I will not stop. ”
* * *
It means that he has filled his heart with wealth and need from the wealth, positions and prestige of the world. The advice of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to him and all his Companions was: “Do not let the world take over you, and do not let any of you take more than the burden of a traveler”.
Salmon kept the covenant. Still, she shed tears as she sighed, fearing that I had crossed the border.
There was nothing in his bisot but a bowl for eating and a bowl for drinking water and performing ablutions. But he still considered himself rich. Did I not tell you that he was very similar to Umar? There was no change in his condition even in the days when he was the emir of Madinah. As we have seen, he did not receive a single dirham from the emirate's rewards. He made a living through basket weaving. Her dress was simply abogina, no less than an old dress.
One day, on the way, he came across a man coming from Damascus carrying figs and dates. The load had tormented and exhausted the evening. When a man, who looked like a commoner and a poor man, appeared before him, he tried to put the burden on his shoulders, thinking that if he took him to his destination, he would pay for his pregnancy. It was pointing to the man, he had arrived. She said to him, "Lift up my load." He picked it up and they walked together.
As they were walking along, they came upon a crowd. The man greeted him, and they said, "Peace be upon the Emir."
“Greetings to the Emir? Which emir do they mean ?! ” He thought so in the evening. To the amazement of this man, some of the passengers ran towards Salmon and said, "Give it to us, O Amir!" intensified when they said.
When the man of Sham knew that this man was Salmon Farsi, the Emir of Madoin, he lost his temper, and words of apology and regret began to fly from his lips. He approached him and tried to take his luggage, but Salmon refused, shook his head, and said, "I will not give it to you until I take it to your address."
One day his brother saw him knead the dough and asked, "Where is the servant?" he asked. He replied, “We sent it with a job. We didn't consider it necessary to comment on such fabrications. "
When it comes to the house, let’s take a closer look at what this house looks like. When building this hut, which can be called a figurative house, ask the master: "How do you build?" he asked. The master was thoughtful and intelligent. He knew Salmon's audacity and piety. He replied, “Do not be afraid! It will be a building that will shade you from the heat, protect you from the cold, and will touch your head when you stand up and your feet when you lie down! ” Salmon said to him, "Yes, do so."
There was something that Salmon was overly reverent in, trusting only his wife and asking her to hide in a safe place out of sight. On the brink of death, on the morning of his death, he cried out to his wife, "Bring what you have hidden!" He brought his wife. It was musk in my wallet. He had captured it in the conquest of Jalavlo, and had adopted it as a perfume for the day of his death.
Then he ordered water to be brought and sprinkled the musk on it. He wet his hand with it and said to his wife, “Sprinkle this around me. For now I have a people of God who do not eat food, but love fragrance. ” When the order was carried out, he said to his wife, "Now close the door and go out."
Soon the woman came in again. He saw that his blessed spirit had left his body and world. Indeed, he had ascended on the wings of passion to Malaul-ala. There was a promised meeting with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), his two masters, Abu Bakr and 'Umar, and an honorable group of martyrs and abbots.

SALMON AL-FORSIY, Abu Abdullah Salman al-Farisi (? - 658) - Companion; One of the mawlas of the Prophet (saas). Original Isfahan. He set out in search of religion. He ran away from his pagan father.
He first converted to Christianity and later to Medina, where he converted to Islam. In the Battle of the Trench in 627, it was Salman the Persian who advised Muhammad (pbuh) to dig a trench around the city of Madinah and place archers in it.
This new tactical method, unprecedented in Arabia, greatly reduced the combat capabilities of the Bedouin cavalry, which formed the bulk of the Meccan military. This came as a surprise to them, which led to the victory of the Muslim army.
Salmon Persian is one of the founders of mysticism. Shiites highly value Salman Farsi as a loyal ally of Ali. When he ruled the city of Madoin (Iraq), he made a living by weaving and selling mats; gave his salary to the needy. He narrated many hadiths from the Holy Prophet (saas).

THE TRUTH FOLLOWER
This hero of ours is from Persia.
Despite coming from the land of Persia, he came to faith before many of the great personalities of Islamic history. Islam produced such a group of people from among the Muslims that they set an example for all in the fields of science, faith and religion. One of the great miracles of Islam was that, whether he entered a country or a country, it would reveal the most hidden abilities of the people of that country. As a result, the number of Muslim scientists, astronomers and inventors will increase. These scientists began to amaze the whole world with their knowledge and discoveries. Although their homeland was different, their religion was the same.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) prophesied about this. No, but it was promised to him by his Lord. While Islam was still weak and helpless, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) could clearly see the banner of Islam flying over the cities of the earth and the palaces of those cities.
Of course, Salmon Farsi witnessed these events. Not only became a witness, but became a direct participant in these events.
This happened in the fifth year of the Hijrah. The chiefs of the Jews of Medina marched towards Mecca and urged the polytheists to unite with them and start a war against the Messenger of Allah and the Muslims. They decided to help each other in this decisive battle with the polytheists and uproot the roots of the newly emerging religion. A plan for the war was drawn up. According to this plan, the Quraysh army and the Ghatafan tribe were to attack from outside Madinah, while the Jews of Banu Qurayzah were to attack from inside Madinah, behind the ranks of the Muslims. As a result, the Muslims would be besieged and defeated.
The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and the Muslims were on the brink of great disaster. This is because the number of enemy troops approaching Madinah was several times greater than that of the Muslims in terms of numbers and training. The watermelons of the Muslims fell from their hands, and terror filled their whole imaginations.
The Qur'an describes this situation as follows:
Then they came to you from above you and from below you. At that time, your eyes were closed and your hearts were stuck in your throats, and you began to doubt Allah.
Muhammad, his Companions, and twenty-four thousand warriors, led by Abu Sufyan ibn Harb and Uyayna ibn Hisan, surrounded Madinah in order to put an end to Islam and began to approach it to win the decisive battle.
This large army consisted not only of the Quraysh polytheists, but also of other tribes who were hostile and hostile to Islam.
This was the last joint attempt of those who were hostile to the Messenger of Allah.
The Muslims were left in a difficult situation.
The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) gathered his Companions for advice. Of course, they came to defend Medina… But how? ..
At that moment, a tall young man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). This young man was loved and respected by the Messenger of Allah. This young man was Salman Farsi. Salmon climbed a hill and looked intently at Madinah. He saw that Madinah was surrounded on all sides by rocks and mountains and only one side was open. The enemy could attack from the same side and it was convenient.
Salmon Farsi had mastered the secrets and tricks of war in his homeland, Persia. Therefore, he left to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) an idea that the Arab people had not yet known and seen in their wars. According to this view, a trench had to be dug on the open side of Madinah, free from rocks.
Allah Almighty knows best what would have happened to the Muslims if the Muslims had not dug a trench and blocked the way of the polytheists in this expedition. The polytheists were amazed to see this ditch. They crossed the trench and, unable to attack Madinah, stayed in their tents for a month. As a result, their strength and courage diminished and they became much weaker. Even one night, Allah sent a strong and cold wind over them, tore down their tents and scattered them everywhere.
Abu Sufyan ordered his neighbor to return. Exhausted, the army was disappointed and forced to retreat.
Salmon took his place among the Ashobs who worked hard during the digging of the trench. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to hold a sledgehammer and continue to dig a trench with the Muslims. A large stone came out of the ground that Salmon had dug with his brothers. Salmon himself was strong and energetic, and despite being able to smash a large stone in one blow with the sledgehammer in his hand, he was helpless in the face of that stone. He summoned all his brothers around him and together they tried to break the stone and remove it from its place. But this attempt was in vain. Salman went to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and asked permission to dig a trench by changing the direction on which the large stone stood. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) went with Salmon to take a good look at the place. When he saw this stone, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) took the sediments in his hands and asked them to stay away from his Companions so that the pieces of the stone would not touch them. Saying the name of Allah, they struck the stone with zeal, holding the sink with both blessed hands. At that moment the stone cracked. A light shone through the cracks in the stone.
Salmon says, “Indeed, I saw this light. He lit up both sides. "
The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“Allahu akbar… I was given the keys of the Persian state. The cities of Kisra and the palaces of Haira are shining on me. Of course, my ummah will be victorious over them. ”
Then they lifted the sink and struck a second time. Again a light came out of the cracks and lit up the whole place. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“Allahu akbar… I was given the keys to the Roman state. His red towers are shining on me. Of course, my ummah will be on top of those palaces. ”
Then they struck a third time. The stone shattered.
The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and the Muslims said takbeer and analysis. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) told his Companions that they would soon see the banner of Allaah flying over the palaces of Syria, Sana'a and other cities.
The Muslims shouted with great faith, “This is what Allah and His Messenger have promised us. The word of Allah and His Messenger is true.
Salmon Persian was the owner of the trench digging advice. At the same time, he was struck by a large stone that helped him unravel some of the mysteries of the unseen. Salman saw the light coming out after the blows of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and heard the prophecies of our Prophet one by one. He later witnessed throughout his life that these prophecies came true.
He saw the cities of Rome and Persia. He saw the palaces of Sana'a, Syria, Egypt and Iraq. Traveling all over the world, he heard with his own ears the sound of the blessed call to prayer spreading the rays of goodness and guidance from the high towers.
This is Salman Farsi. He is sitting in the shade of a blossoming tree in front of his courtyard in Madinah, talking to his brothers. He tells his brothers next to him about his adventures in search of the truth. That is, he speaks of seeking the truth and converting the religion of his people to Christianity, and Christianity to Islam. He recounts how, in order to save his mind and soul, he left his prosperous life in the presence of his wealthy father and threw himself into the embrace of need and poverty. How was he sold in the slave market in search of truth? How did he come to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and believe in him?
Let’s approach her beautiful meeting and hear these interesting stories from her.
I was a Persian living in the village of Jiy in Isfahan. My father was the chairman of the village. My father loved me dearly and did not believe in heaven and earth. I was so devoted to paganism that I even worshiped the fire that burned with my own hands. My father had fields. One day they sent me to work in the fields because they were busy. As I was walking in the field, on the way past the Christian church, I heard them praying. I went inside the church to see how they were praying. I really liked his prayers. I said to myself:
"Of course, their religion is better than ours." I didn’t leave the church until sunset. I didn’t even go to the field. I did not return home until my father sent a man after me. When I left, I asked the Christians:
"Where is the origin of your religion?" I asked. They said, "In the evening."
When I returned to my father, I said to them:
“I passed by a Christian church today and watched their prayers. I really liked his prayers. So I knew their religion was better than ours. ” When my father heard these words, he was terrified and argued with me a lot. I insisted on my word. When my father saw this, he put iron on my leg and handcuffed me. I sent a man to the Christians and told them that I had accepted their religion. When the caravan came in the evening, I asked them to let me know so that I could go with them without going back. Soon such a message arrived. I untied my shackles and went with them to Damascus without informing my family. When you reach the destination, ask them:
“Who is your greatest scientist? I asked.
They replied, "Bishop of the synagogue."
I went to him and told him about myself. Then I asked him for permission to stay with him and do his ministry to study religion. He agreed. It soon became clear to me that this was one of the worst people in the usquf religion.
He collected alms from the people to distribute to the poor and needy, and hid them without giving them to anyone. Then he died. He was replaced by another uskuf. I have not seen a better man than him who is a strong follower of his religion, very ascetic, and devoted to prayer. I fell in love with him. I had never loved anyone so much before. When the hour of his death approached him, I said:
"What do you order me to do, from whom do you recommend me to learn?"
He said, “O my son, I do not know that among the people who follow our religion, they are like a man in the city of Mawsil. Go to him. "
When Usquf died, I went to a hermit in the city of Mawsil and told him about myself. Then I was with him as Allah willed. As the hour of his death approached, I asked him to send me to another man.
He invited me to visit a monument in Nisbiin.
I was near that monument as Allah wills. As his death approached, he advised me to go to a righteous man in Amuria, one of the Roman cities. I went to that righteous man and began to serve him. I worked and labored there and had a number of sheep and goats. When the hour of death approached him, he said:
I asked, "Who will you bequeath me to?" He said:
“My son, I do not know of any righteous man who practices our religion. If I knew, I would definitely recommend you go to him. But the time has come for Abraham to be sent with the religion of peace. He will be forced to leave his country and emigrate to a country with many palm trees. If you can, reach for it. He has symptoms that are not hidden from anyone. He does not eat alms, he accepts gifts. There is a prophetic seal between his two shoulders. It is through these signs that you recognize it.
One day a caravan passed me. When I asked them what country they were from, they said they were from the Arabian Peninsula. I:
I asked, "Will you take me to your country with these sheep and goats?" They agreed. They brought me to a place called Vodul Qura and sold me as a slave to a Jew who had wronged me. That Jew took me with him. I saw that his land was rich in palm trees. I imagined that this must be the country I was described as. But that did not happen. I stayed with that Jew until his Jewish acquaintance from Banu Qurayz came and bought me from him. A Jew from Banu Qurayzah took me to Madinah with him. I swear by Allah, when I saw this city, I was convinced that this was the city that was described to me. I worked in the palm trees of the Jews of Banu Qurayza until the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) migrated to Madinah and came to the tribe of Banu 'Amr ibn' Awf in the village of Quba. One day I was working on top of a palm tree. Under the tree, my master was resting. A Jew came and said:
“May Allah destroy Banu Qaila (the Aws and Hazraj tribes of the Arabs). They think that the person coming from Mecca is a prophet and they are going to meet him. ”
I swear to God, when I heard this word, I trembled and almost fell from a tree. Then he quickly got down from the tree:
"What did you say, come back again!" I said. My master became angry and slapped me in the face.
“What are you doing? Come on, do your job. ”
When it was late, I took the dates I had gathered and went to Quba to see the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). I entered his presence. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was surrounded by some of his Companions. I said to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace:
“Of course, you are strangers and needy, and I have some food that I have gathered for charity. I brought it to you because you have the right to it. ” Then I gave them the dates. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
They did not eat, saying, "Eat in the name of Allah." I told myself:
"By Allah, this is the first sign that he will not eat charity!" I said. Then
The next day I came to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) again. I had some food on hand. I said to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him):
“I saw you don’t eat charity. Here is the food I want to give you as a gift. ”I handed him the food. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to his Companions:
They ate with them, saying, "Eat in the name of God."
I said to myself:
“By God, this is the second sign. Surely they will accept the gift.
Then I went back and a few days later I visited the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. I saw him attending the funeral with his companions. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) had thrown a cloth over his shoulders. I greeted him and went behind him to see the seals of prophecy and stared for a while. Our gentleman, knowing what I wanted, lowered the cloth over his blessed shoulders a little. Suddenly my eyes fell on the prophetic seal that my master had described to me. I bent down, kissed the prophecies of the seal of our Lord, and wept bitterly. When the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) saw this, he took me to his side and asked about me. I have told him my experiences verbatim. Then I believed. Because of my slavery, I was unable to take part in the battles of Badr and Uhud.
One day the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to me:
"Make a 'mukotaba' with your master (a contract with your master to free yourself for a certain fee) so that he may set you free."
I agreed with my boss. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, ordered his companions to help me. So Allah freed me from slavery. Then I lived as a free Muslim. I took part in the Trench and other battles with the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
Through these wonderful and meaningful words, Salman al-Farsi narrated his adventures on finding the religious truth that brought him to Allah and shaped his form and style of life.
What a great man he was! What great ability possessed his inquisitive spirit, put his invincible will to many hardships, and ultimately led him to find the truth? What friendship forced his father to leave the state of wealth and possessions and move on to a life of burdens and hardships, moving from country to country? Moving from country to country, from city to city, he studied people, religions, denominations, and life with his sharp mind. Even being sold into slavery on the way to finding the truth did not deter him from his goal. Then Allaah showed him the truth as a great reward. After meeting the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and believing in him, he lived the rest of his life by applying the Sunnah and commands of our Lord to his life.
The faith of Salman al-Farsi was like the faith of the pious. His piety and intelligence were similar to that of 'Umar ibn Khattab.

Salmon Farsi lived in the same courtyard with Abu Dardo for a few days. Abu Dardo ra used to pray at night and fast during the day. Seeing that his brother Salmon was given too much to prayer, he wanted to give the man some advice. One day, Salman tried to dissuade his friend Abu Darda, who was trying to fast nafl. Seeing this, Abu Dardo said:
"Are you forbidding me from praying and fasting for my Lord?" Salmon Farsi replied:
“Of course, both your eyes and your family have a right to you. Sometimes fasting, sometimes walking with your mouth open. Pray in some parts of the night and rest in others. ” When the news reached the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), he said:
"Indeed, Salmon is fed with knowledge."
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) praised Salman's behavior and religion, as well as his knowledge and wisdom. Trench Day Ansar:
When they said, 'Salmon is from us,' the emigrants said, 'Salmon is from us.' The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to them:
He said, "Salman is from us, from the people of the house."
Of course, Salman al-Farsi was entitled to this honor. Ali ibn Abu Talib ra Salman Farsi raga was called Luqmanu Hakim. Even when Salmon Farsi died:
"He is from us, from the people of the house." “Is there anyone among you who is equal to Luqmanu Hakim? … He was given previous and subsequent knowledge, he read previous and subsequent books. It was a deep sea. ”
Salmon was a highly educated man. He became a great authority among the Ashâb-i kirâm. When Salman 'Umar ibn Khattab ra came to Madinah to visit during the caliphate, the caliph' Umar showed him a compliment that he had not shown to anyone. He gathered all the people of Madinah and said to them:
He said, "Come with us, and we will go to Salmon." So they all went out of Madinah to meet Salman.
Salman lived in piety from the time he believed in the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) until the death of the Caliph 'Uthmaan. During this period, the banner of Islam fluttered across the horizon, and great wealth flowed to Medina and was distributed among the Muslims in an orderly manner. I wonder where Salmon was in this time of pleasure and wealth?
Brother, open your eyes wider, do you see an old man sitting in the shade of this tree, weaving a basket of palm leaves?
Of course… This is Salmon Farsi ra Take a good look at him, his clothes are short, his legs are open to his knees. The salary he was assigned from the house of cattle was very high. It ranged from four thousand to six thousand a year. However, he distributed all the money to the poor and needy and did not take a single dirham. He said of his survival:
“I buy palm skins for one dirham. I make a basket out of it and sell it for three dirhams. I will put one dirham out of these three. I will spend one dirham on my family. I will give the rest of the dirham as charity. Although 'Umar ibn al-Khattab forbade me from doing so, I will never give up.
O followers of Muhammad (peace be upon him), what more can be said!
When most of us hear about the piety of some of the Companions, such as Abu Bakr, 'Umar, Abu Dharr, and others, the reason for this is that life in the Arabian Peninsula itself was not so prosperous and the Arabs became accustomed to a simple life. we will try to show. But our hero is from a Persian country that is prosperous and full of blessings. Again, he was not from the poor, but from the rich. Why does he deny wealth and blessings and be content with a dirham earned by his own labor?
Or why is he leaving the emirate and leadership and running away from it? He said:
"If you can, don't command two people even when you have to eat the soil."
Why did he avoid becoming an official and a prince? Only when circumstances demanded and no one else could be found worthy of the emirate did he accept it, despairing, depressed, and tearful. Look at this, when he accepted this leadership, he would refuse to receive the honest salary assigned to him. Hisham ibn Hassan narrated on the authority of Hasan:
“Salmon's salary was five thousand dirhams. He himself was in charge of thirty thousand men. When he addressed the people, he had two pieces of coarse cloth on him, half of which he wore, and half of which he used as a bed. When he was paid, he would disperse and make a living by manual labor. Why would he do that? After all, he was a child of a blessed Persian land?
Let’s hear the answers to these questions from him himself. While he was lying on his deathbed, preparing his soul to meet his merciful and compassionate Lord, Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas ra came to him. Salmon was crying. Then Sa'd asked him:
“O Aba Abdullah, what is making you cry? Did the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) die pleased with you? ” He asked. Salmon:
I swear by Allah that I did not weep for fear of death, not because of my greed for the world, but because the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to us, And I own so many things around me. ” Sa'd said:
When I looked in his room, I found nothing but a bowl and an obdast. I said. Salmon:
He said, "O Sa'd, remember Allah when you intend to make a wish, when you judge, and when you distribute something." The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to Salmaan and his Companions:
“Do not rule the world over you. Each of you should take from him the property of a stranger. ” Salmon, on the other hand, always remembered this will and shed tears, fearing that he had crossed the line of will, even as he prepared his soul to meet his Lord. After all, there was nothing in front of him but a bowl of food, a bowl of water and ablution? Did he shed too many tears? … Didn't I tell you that he was a man like 'Umar?
Even when Salmon was mayor of Madoin, nothing has changed. He made a living by weaving a basket with his own hands and selling it. Despite being the governor, he wore old and rough clothes on.
One day, on the outskirts of the city, Salmon met a stranger from the province of Damascus, carrying figs and dates on his shoulders. The stranger was tired from the weight of the load. Seeing Salmon, dressed in old and rough clothes, he thought that he must be an ordinary man, and put his load on his shoulders, imagining that he would pay for it as if he had delivered the load to the destination. Shami Salmon:
"Lift Manavi," he said, placing his load on his shoulders. Salmon, on the other hand, picked up the load without saying anything. Along the way, a group of people came across them. When Salman greeted them, they said, "Peace be upon our Commander." “Greetings to our Emir !?”, which Emir do they mean ??? So Shami began to ask himself a question. When some people ran to Salmon and said to him:
When he heard them say, "Give me the load, O Amir," the Shami became even more terrified. So the Shami knew that the man in front of him was Salman Farsi, the governor of Madoin.
Stunned by the situation, Shami could not find a word to apologize and, embarrassed, tried to take the load back on his shoulders. But Salmon nodded:
He said, "No, I will not deliver the goods until you reach your destination."

 One day he asked:
"What has made the Emirate so bad for you?" He asked. He replied:
“The sweetness of breastfeeding and the bitterness of divorce,” she said.
One day a friend came to him, and he was drunk. From his friend Salmon:
"Where is your employee?" He asked. Salmon:
“We sent him to a job we needed. That's why we didn't need to order him to do two things. ”

What do we mean when we call it “home”? While the builders were building a house for him, Salmon asked them:
"How do you build?" He asked. The builders who knew the piety of Salman al-Farsi very well said:
“Don’t be afraid, you will be protected from heat and cold in this house. If you stand up, your head will touch the ceiling, and if you lie on your back, your feet will touch the wall. ” Salmon is happy:
He said, "Well then, build it." There was nothing of worldly pleasures in this house. The only thing was that Salmon took great care of him and even asked his wife to hide him in a safe place. On the morning of the day he died, he said to his wife:
He said, "Bring me what you have hidden." All his wife brought the same thing. It was the musk depot he captured on the day the city of Jalvalo was conquered. Salmon had kept that perfume for the day of his death. He then ordered water to be brought in a container. Then he poured musk into the water, stirred it with his hand, and said to his wife:
“Sprinkle this around me. Surely the servants of Allah, who do not eat food and love fragrance, will come to me now. ”
When his wife had done this, Salmon said to his wife:
"Close the door and stand outside for a while."
Ahl Salman did as he was told. After a while, he came to her and saw that Salmon's blessed spirit had left his body and the world…
His spirit rode on the wings of "passion" and reached the great ones. It was there that Salman Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and his two brothers, Abu Bakr and 'Umar, decided to meet with a large congregation of martyrs and nobles.
It was this "thirst for nostalgia" that made Salmon happy.
Now it's time to quench your thirst.
