"Horse, Sa'd, horse… May my parents be sacrificed for you."
(Muhammad Rasulullah on the day of Uhud
This is how they called Sa'd)
Auzu billahi minash shaytanir rojiym, bismillahir rahmanir rohiym.
“We have enjoined on man parenthood. His mother conceived him with weakness upon weakness. Separation (from the breast) (term) is two years (coming). (We commanded man), “Give thanks to Me and to your parents. You will return to Me alone! ” If they (your parents) force you to associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, then do not obey them. Treat them well in the world, and follow the way of those who repent to Me. Then to Him you will be returned. So I will inform you of what you used to do. ”(Surat al-Luqman, 14-15)
This verse was revealed because of a wonderful and rare event. Still in the cave, the young man's mind was filled with completely contradictory emotions. At that time, good overcame evil, and faith overcame disbelief. The protagonist of this story was the leader of the Meccan youth, a young man whose father and mother were of noble birth. His name is Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas.
When the light of prophethood appeared in Makkah, Sa'd was an unopened, spotless, loving child to his parents, especially one who was surrounded by his mother. He had not yet hardened his bones, and although he had met only seventeen springs, he was as intelligent and thoughtful as the old men, as he had seen many. He did not take part in the vain pleasures of his peers, as if he knew in advance that a great future lay ahead of him, and devoted most of his time to archery and archery. He was also disgusted with the depravity and perverse beliefs of his people. He waited anxiously for a mighty and merciful helping hand to reach out from somewhere to deliver the people from their wandering darkness and lead them to the path of salvation.

At a time when the days of Sa'd were passing in this way, Allah Almighty wished to extend such a kind and constructive helping hand to mankind. This hand was the hand of Muhammad ibn Abdullah, the master of mankind. He was holding the eternal shining divine star - the Book of Allah Alloh
Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas did not hesitate to respond to the call of truth and guidance as "labbay." He was the third or fourth of the men to convert to Islam. That is why he often boasted, "I have been a third of Islam for seven days."
The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) rejoiced greatly at Sa'd's conversion. Because the signs of nobility, the signs of bravery in it, no doubt, foretold that this crescent would soon turn into a badr, that is, a full moon. Since Sa'd was from a respectable, prestigious family, he was able to lead the youth of Mecca to Islam. In addition, Sa'd was from the uncles of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, from the tribe of Banu Zuhra. Amina bint Wahb, the mother of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), was also from this tribe. The world considered this kinship honorable. It is narrated that one day, when the Prophet was sitting in the circle of some of his Companions, they saw Sa'd coming. Then he said, “This man is my uncle! I wish others would show their uncle like that! ” they say.

The post-Islamic life of Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas did not go smoothly as before, but the young, inexperienced believer faced a severe and severe test. Due to the difficulty of the exam, Allah (swt) sent down verses from the Qur'an about him. Let us give the floor to Sa'd himself to tell the story of this ordeal. Sa'd's story:
- I had a dream three days before I came to faith. It was as if I had drowned in the darkness of one another. As I was stumbling and barely crawling, a piece of Moonlight suddenly appeared. I walk towards the light of the moon. When I went, three people before me - Zayd ibn Haritha, Ali ibn Abu Talib and Abu Bakr Siddiq - came to light.
At dawn, I heard that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was secretly calling people to Islam. Then I knew that Allah had willed good for me and wanted to bring me out of the darkness into the light through His Messenger. Without wasting time, I immediately set off. I met the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in the valley of Jiyad. He had just performed the Asr prayer. It was here that I converted to Islam. Before me, only the three people I saw in my dreams were Muslims.
When I heard that I had come to faith, my mother's hair stood on end. I was a kind, obedient child to my mother. Knowing this, my mother wanted to make an impact.
"O Sa'd," he said, "you have adopted an unknown religion." Even because of it, you have renounced your parents' religion iga In the name of Allah, you will abandon that new religion, otherwise I will not eat a single bite or drink a sip of water. I turn a blind eye to hunger and thirst. Then you will have a hearty kebab in my heart, you will regret your stupidity, you will hear the accusations of "mother killer" from people all your life.
I said, “Don’t do that, Mom. I will not give up my religion for nothing, ”I begged, but my mother insisted. He was completely out of the water. For a few days he did not taste salt or water. He lay in front of me, emaciated, his eyes sunken, and finally his silt dried up from exhaustion. I would often go to my mom’s top and beg her to eat at least one bite of food or drink a sip of water. He shook his head sharply and swore that he would continue in this state until he died if I did not renounce my religion.
Then I said the following:
- Mother, I love you more than my soul, but I love Allah and His Messenger more than you siz By God, if you have a thousand souls and they all come out one by one, I will not leave my religion.
My mother realized my words were serious and accepted my fate. Noiloj began to eat and drink. Allah has revealed a verse about us:
- “If they (ie your parents) force you to associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, then do not obey them. And be kind to them in this world.

The day when Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas became a believer was one of the best days for Muslims and one of the most blessed days for Islam.
In the jihad of Badr, Sa'd and his brother Umayr set an example for all. At that time, Umayr was a small boy, a fairy, and now he was a teenager. When the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) saw the army before the battle, he hid in the back, fearing that they would send him back because of his smallness, but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) realized his cunning and forbade him to go to jihad. Umayr wept bitterly. Finally, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) took pity on him and allowed him to fight. Sa'd rejoiced even more and hung the sword around his brother's neck because of his short stature. The brothers showed the courage of true mujahideen in the way of Allah.
Sa'd returned to Madinah alone from the campaign. He left his brother Umayr as a martyr in the land of Badr, hoping for his reward from Allah.
On the day of Uhud, the knees trembled and the Muslim army disintegrated. There were only ten men left in the battle to protect the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Among them was Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas, who defended the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) with all his might, and every time he shot a bow, he would bite a polytheist. When the Almighty saw this, they shouted, "Horse, Sa'd, horse sin May my parents be sacrificed for you," to encourage Sa'd even more. Sa'd was proud of this call all his life. Occasionally:
The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) suddenly said to no one, 'Let my parents be sacrificed.' Only I was told these words on the day of Uhud.

Sa'd showed his greatest service when Hadrat 'Umar decided to bring the true religion to the land of the Persians, to put an end to the state of the disbelievers, and thus to eradicate the vices of paganism. The caliph sent letters to the governors of the tsar, sending to Madinah those who were able to ride horses, bear arms, be brave, intelligent and shrewd, those who knew the art of poetry or oratory, and all those who could help in battle 'natish ordered. Mujahideen from the East and the West began to arrive in the capital. When everyone was gathered and the army was ready, 'Umar ibn Khattab discussed the question of who should be entrusted with command. The people of the council unanimously nominated the only candidate - the brave warrior Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas. 'Umar handed him the battle flag.
The emir, who had gone out to watch the warriors before leaving Madinah, gave the last instructions to the commander of the army:
'O Sa'd, do not be arrogant by the words,' Uncle of the Messenger of Allah, companion of the Messenger of Allah. ' Indeed, Allah does not wipe out evil with evil, but destroys evil with good.
O Sa'd, there is no kinship between Allah and anyone, except by obedience. The rich and the poor and the poor are equal before God. Allah is their Lord and they are the servants. Slaves can be superior to one another only in piety. The reward in the presence of the Almighty is achieved through obedience. You know what the main duties of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) are. It is your duty today to continue that work.
The army moved slowly. It included ninety-nine participants in the Battle of Badr, more than three hundred and ten Muslims who believed before the Bayat of Rizwan, three hundred who took part in the conquest of Mecca with the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and seven hundred Companions' children.
The army was in Qadisiyah, fifteen miles from Kufa. In the sixteenth year of the Hijrah, there were decisive battles between the Muslims and the Persians, in which the Muslims won a decisive victory. ) decided. On the day of Harir (the last of the days of Qadisiyah), the Muslims launched a fierce attack. They gripped the enemy tightly and scattered their ranks. The shouts of "La ilaha illallah" and "Allahu akbar" filled the air. The Persian general Rustam was killed. The soldiers who lost their commander were completely numb and could not even defend themselves. They surrendered, realizing that the resistance was futile. Countless booty was plundered. On that day, the Muslims achieved a great victory.

Sa'd lived a long life. Allah bestowed on him a wealth of wealth, but when he lay on his deathbed, he commanded him to bring his woolen, torn robe and said:
"Bury me in my robe, for on the day of Badr I fought the polytheists in this garment." I want to meet Allah in the same clothes.

Taken from Dr. Abdurahman Rafat al-Basha's book The Story of the Faithful Companions (Tashkent, Uzbekistan, 1997).
SA'D ibn ABU WAQQAS, full name Malik ibn Wahb ibn Abdumanaf al-Qurayshi Zahri (ca. 590-674) - Companion, one of the first Muslims in Mecca. Asharai is from Mubashshara, one of the guardians of Muhammad (pbuh).
From the tribe of Quraysh, the mothers of the Noble Prophet (pbuh) were from the tribe of Bani Zahra, like Omina. From the emigrants who migrated to Medina. He took part in all the expeditions of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
He was a very brave, courageous man, a skilled sniper. In the battle of Uhud, Sa'd, who fought alongside the Noble Messenger, fired more than a thousand bullets. He was appointed commander of the army sent to Iran. In the famous Battle of Qadisiyah (636), 40 Persian troops led by Rustam were defeated.
He then attacked the city of Madoin (Ctesiphon) and captured the innumerable treasures of the Sassanid kings. For some time he was vice president of Iran and Iraq.
He built the city of Kufa in the time of Umar (638). After the tragic death of 'Uthman (ra), he did not take part in any work, nor did he claim the caliphate. Jamal and Siffin did not take part in the battles.
He did not go when summoned to Muawiya. He died at the age of 84 at his home outside Madina. According to his will, he wore it in the Battle of Badr and was shrouded in a woolen robe that he had adopted for 55 years.

THE MAN WHO CATCHED THE LION
Umar ibn Khattab rani began to be disturbed by reports of a series of attacks by the Persian army against the Muslims. In particular, the news of the Battle of the Bridge (Jisr), in which the people of Iraq violated their obligations and resulted in the deaths of more than four thousand Muslims, shocked Umar Rani. Omar decided to command the Muslim army himself in the decisive final battle with the Persians. But before he could even leave Madinah, some of his brothers sent him back and offered to appoint someone else for this important work. Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf was one of the founders of this idea. He explained to everyone that it was not the right way to risk the life of the Commander of the Faithful in these important days of Islam. The Commander of the Faithful, 'Umar ibn Khattab, ordered the Muslims to gather for advice. Umar ra Ali ibn Abu Talib was also invited to this council. With the support of 'Abdur-Rahman ibn' Awf, all the Muslims agreed that 'Umar Rani should return to Madinah, and instead the Muslims decided to command another man to their neighbor.
'Umar agreed and asked them:
"Who do you propose to send as commander in Iraq?" He asked. The Muslims remained silent for a while, then 'Abdur-Rahman ibn' Awf suddenly said:
"I found it," he shouted.
 Umar ra:
"Who is he?" He asked.
Abdurrahman:
Sa'd ibn Malik al-Zuhri said, "The man who grabbed the lion." Muslims supported this idea. He summoned Sa'd ibn Malik al-Zuhri, the Commander of the Faithful, Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas, and sent him to Iraq as Commander and Commander of the Army.
Who is the "man holding the lion"?
The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, went to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and greeted him.
"This is my uncle," he said. Who among you can say, "Let one of you show me his uncle!"
Of course, he is Sa'd ibn abi Waqqas r.adir. His grandfather was Uhayb ibn Mannaf, the uncle of Amina, the mother of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Sa'd converted to Islam at the age of 17. And he is one of the earliest Muslims and says of himself:
“... I was one of three Muslims in those days. ”
That is, he was one of the first three Muslims to hasten to embrace Islam. At the beginning of the days when the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) began to speak about Allaah alone and the new religion, and before he found refuge with the Muslims in the courtyard of Arqam and slowly people did not believe in him, Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas had already become a Muslim.
The books of history and biography state that Sa'd ibn abi Waqqas was one of those who converted to Islam after Abu Bakr became a Muslim, especially as a result of his call. Perhaps he was satisfied with the words of Abu Bakr and converted to Islam, along with Uthman ibn Affan, Zubayr ibn Awwam, Abdurrahman ibn Awf and Talha ibn Ubaydullah.
Sa'd ibn abi Waqqas had many of the qualities that everyone should be proud of. But even so, he was extremely proud of only two of his qualities. The first was Sa'd ibn abi Waqqas, the first archer in the way of Allah. Second, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was the only person who was willing to sacrifice his parents for him.
On the day of Uhud, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to him:
“Otgin ey Sa'd ... May my parents be sacrificed for you. ”
Yes, of course, he always repeated these two great virtues and thanked Allah for bestowing this blessing. SHE IS:
He said, "By Allah, I am the first of the Arabs to shoot a bow in the way of Allah."
Ali ibn Abu Talib said:
“I do not know anyone except Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas, who was ready to sacrifice his parents for the sake of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). On the day of Uhud, I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say:
“Otgin ey Sa'd ... May my parents be sacrificed for you. "
Sa'd ibn abi Waqqas was considered one of the bravest riders of Muslims and Arabs. He had two weapons, the first was the arrow of his bow and the second was his prayer. He would not make a mistake when he fired at the enemy in battle. And whenever he prayed to Allah, his prayer would be answered. He and his brothers attributed the reason for his qualities to the prayers of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) for him. One day, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) saw Sa'd with something pleasing to his eyes, and when he saw something that pleased him, he said the following prayer for him:
"O Allah, straighten his arrows and answer his prayer."
Thus, he became known among his friends and brothers as a man whose prayer was as sharp as a sword. He would not pray for the rights of any person by referring his work to Allah, unless Allah would answer his prayer. This is narrated by 'Amir ibn Sa'd.
“Sa'd ibn abi Waqqas saw a man insulting Ali, Talha and Zubayr. So no matter how much he returned it, the man did not stop. Then Sa'd said to him:
He said, "Then I will bless you."
That person:
"Are you a prophet threatening me?" He said.
Sa'd went and performed ablution and prayed two rak'ahs, then raised his hands to heaven:
“O Allah, surely you see this man insulting those who have attained goodness and guidance from you. Of course, he insulted these people and angered you. So show him your sign. ”
Shortly after, a huge, furious camel came out of a yard and entered the crowd. No one could stop him. It was as if he was looking for something. Then he threw himself at the man and knocked him to the ground. Then he crushed the man with his feet and killed him.
From this scene, as his prayer is answered, we learn the purity of his soul, the truth of his faith, and the depth of his sincerity. Sa'd always supported his piety only by eating an honest bite. So he restrained himself from every dirham that was a work of doubt. Sa'd lived his life and even became one of the richest people among Muslims. When he died, he left behind a great fortune. At the same time, although in rare cases wealth was both abundant and halal at the same time, Allah had given Sa'd both halal and immense wealth. He became a teacher to everyone in the charity department. The ability to spend in the way of Allah would be just as much as the ability to accumulate an honest and pure wealth state.
This incident was promised by Hajjatul. Sa'd became seriously ill. When the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) entered him to visit him, Sa'd asked:
"O Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), I am a rich man and I have no heir except my daughter, so should I give two-thirds of my wealth in charity?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
They said, "No."
Sa'd:
"Half of it?" He asked. .
The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, 'No.' .
Sa'd:
"The first third?" He said.
The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
"Yeah, well, it's actually a third more," he said. Of course, it is better for you to leave your heirs rich than to leave your heirs poor and begging from the people. Surely, you will be rewarded for your devotion to the face of Allah. You will even be rewarded for the bite you put in your wife's mouth. ”
Sa'd shed many tears in fear of Allah. When the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) preached to them, so many tears flowed from his eyes that even his chest would get wet. One day the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was sitting with his Companions when he suddenly turned his eyes to the horizon and remained silent. Then he said to his companions around him:
"Now a man from the people of Paradise will come to you."
When the Ashobs heard this word, they all turned their eyes to the door and began to look forward to who the lucky man who had this huge share was. After a while, Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas came to them. In fact, this situation was repeated for three days in a row. After these events, 'Abdullah ibn' Amr ibn al-'Asra, without informing Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas, asked Sa'd for permission to spend three nights at his house in order to find out what he had done to bring him closer to Allah and achieve this great reward. He saw that it was nothing more than the prayers of all Muslims. Then 'Abdullah told Sa'd the prophecies of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and asked him what he had done to achieve this great reward.
Sa'd is:
“I have nothing more than the prayers and deeds of all people. However, I will never be jealous or hostile towards any Muslim. ”
This is, as Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf described, "the man who grabbed the lion by the claws."
This is Umar ra for the day of the great Qadisiyah. will be the person who chooses it. All of the above virtues of Sa'd were manifested in the eyes of 'Umar ra, which led him to choose him for the most difficult and important task facing Muslims and Islam.
Surely, Sa'd is the one whose prayer will be answered. If he asks Allah for help, surely Allah will help him.
Indeed, he has a pure tongue and a pure heart.
Of course, he is the rider of Badr, Uhud and all other participating expeditions.
He had another characteristic that 'Umar never forgot him and was never unaware of its importance and value. This feature was the firmness of Sa'd's faith. From the day Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas became a believer and followed the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), 'Umar was aware of the disagreements between him and his mother. When Sa'd's mother tried unsuccessfully to turn her son away from Islam, Sa'd took such a step that all those who heard him withdrew. could have suspected that he would return to do. His mother announced that he would not eat or drink until he returned to the religion of the Sa'd tribe and his ancestors. His mother continued with such determination that she was even ready to die as a result. But even so, Sa'd ignored it and said that he would not sell his faith and religion for anything, even if it was his mother's life. When his mother's condition worsened, Sa'd's relatives urged him to say goodbye to his mother, hoping that perhaps his heart would soften and he would accept his mother's opinion.
№4.Sa'd arrived and saw a scene that melted the stone as well. But his faith in Allah and His Messenger was stronger than any stone, and stronger than any steel. He came closer to his mother and said:
"You know, mother, even if you have a hundred souls and all of them are leaving one by one, I will not leave this religion for nothing, so eat if you want, don't eat if you don't want!" The mother changed her mind and began to eat again. After that, Allah Almighty revealed the following verse, praising and supporting Sa'd's path.
 14. And We have enjoined upon man parenthood. His mother carried him with weakness (in her womb) upon weakness. Separation from it is two years. Say: Give thanks to me and to your parents; To me is the return! ”
 15. And if they force you to associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, then do not obey them. Treat them well in this world, and follow the way of those who repent to Me. Then to Me is the return, so I will inform you of what you used to do.
Isn't it true that he is "the man who grabbed the lion by the claws"?
So, the Commander of the Faithful handed over the banner of the Battle of Qadisiyah to Ja'd ibn Abi Waqqas to strike at the Persian army, which was armed to the teeth with more than a hundred thousand teeth. At that time, the Persians had the most terrible and powerful weapons on earth, and their armies were led by the man who knew the science of war best and was the most cunning.
Yes, Sa'd became the leader of no more than thirty thousand soldiers against such a terrible army. The Muslims had nothing in their hands but swords and spears. But their hearts were filled with the faith formed by religion, and with the joy of death and martyrdom. Before the two sides clashed, Sa'd waited for the advice and counsel of 'Umar, the Commander of the Faithful. At that moment, 'Umar's letter arrived. In it, the Commander of the Faithful ordered Sa'd to go to Qadisiyah, the gate of the Persians, and inspired his heart with the following words of light and guidance:
“O Sa'd ibn Suhayb, do not be deceived by Allah by making people proud to say that he is the uncle and companion of the Messenger of Allah. Because one person can be superior to another in the sight of Allah only through his worship. The upper and lower classes of human beings are equal in the sight of Allah. God is their Lord, and they are His servants. They can be superior to each other only because of their piety. And they can attain the blessings of Allah with their obedience. If you have seen how the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) behaved from the day he was sent as a prophet until he left us, then take what you need. ” Then he continued his letter and said:
“Write me about your situation. How did you get there? How far is the enemy from you? It's as if I'm seeing you through your letter. "
Sa'd wrote a letter to the Commander of the Faithful, showing him clearly and clearly the position of each soldier and the position of each soldier.
So Sa'd reached the city of Qadisiyah. The armies of the Persians lined up in tribes and clans. They had never lined up like this before. Their army was led by a commander named Rustam, the most famous and powerful among them.
Sa'd wrote a letter to the Commander of the Faithful and received the following reply:
“Do not be offended by the power and weapons that the Persians hear and see and bring with them. Ask Allah for help and rely on Him. Send a group of people of authority to Rustam so that they may call Rustam to the religion of Allah… ..Write me a letter every day ”.”
Sa'd sent the following letter to 'Umar:
"Rustam is gathering his troops, leading horses and elephants with him, and invading us."
'Umar ibn al-Khattab reassured Sa'd and sent him a reply. Of course, Sa'd was a brave and intelligent rider who was one of the uncles of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and the forerunners of those who embraced Islam, as well as the hero of all the battles and battles. In this great battle of Qadisiyah, one of the greatest battles in history, Sa'd was at the forefront of the army like an ordinary soldier, ready to fight without the pride of any commander or commander. He used to exchange letters with the Commander of the Faithful in Madinah, who was far away from him, and on the eve of the great battle he would receive valuable advice from 'Umar.
The reason was that Sa'd knew for sure that the Commander of the Faithful in Madinah would not accept these instructions and decisions alone, but would consult with the best and noblest Companions of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Therefore, Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas did not want to deprive himself and all the Muslim warriors of the blessings and benefits of the Shura (Council of Believers), despite the tense situation. Especially after the great inspirer Umar ra at the beginning of these tips, how could Sa’d deprive himself and his army of this blessing.
* * *
Sa'd 'Umar, in accordance with his will, sent some of the Muslims to Rustam, the commander of the Persians, to invite him to Islam.
The conversation between the Muslim ambassadors and the Persian commander heated up. The Muslims ended their speech with the following words:
“Surely, Allah has chosen to lead His servants from idolatry to Tawheed, from the narrowness of the world to the breadth of the Hereafter, and from the tyranny of the rulers to the justice of Islam through us Muslims. Whoever accepts these things from us, we too will agree with him and go back. Whoever wants to fight us, we will fight until we achieve what Allah has promised us. ”
Rustam asked, “What is the promise of Allah to you?
A Companion replied:
"Paradise for our martyrs, victory for the living."
After the two sides could not reach an agreement, the ambassadors returned to Sa'd and informed him that a fight was inevitable.
Sa'd's eyes filled with tears. The reason was that he wanted the fight to be a little later or a little earlier. By this time he was very ill, and his illness had exhausted him. His whole body was covered with sores that he could not even sit up. At the same time, he was not able to ride a horse in this brutal battle. If the battle had started before his illness or after his recovery, Sa'd would have shown great courage in this battle. Now now?… But it’s not like that. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade them from saying 'if'. Because the word "if" is a sign of weakness. The strong believer, on the other hand, will not be helpless, but will find a way. At that moment, the "man who caught the lion" got up from his bed, addressed the Muslims and began his speech with the following verse:
105. And We have written in the Psalms after the Remembrance: "Only My righteous servants will inherit the earth."
When he had finished the sermon, he performed the noon prayer with the army. Then he turned to the army and said takbir "Allahu akbar" four times. When the Muslims chanted the same takbir after him, the heavens shook. Then Sa'd stretched out his hand and pointed to the enemy, calling out to the soldiers:
"We went to the blessing of Allah!"
Sa'd climbed to the open porch on the top floor of the house where he was staying and made this place his command center. It sat on the porch, leaning heavily on the pillow, and all sides of the wall were exposed to the open enemy. Even a small attack by the Persians could have killed Sa'd. But he was not afraid of this situation and led the fight. Although his wounds covered his whole body and caused pain, he ignored it, stood on the porch, chanted takbir, and called out to his troops. He says to the warriors on this side of the line, "Come closer to the right," and to those standing on the other side, "Close the gap left to your left." “O Mughira, the enemy is coming first. O Jarir, look back. Shoot with your sword. O Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)! He shouted.
Because of the power of intention and determination, his voice would resound, and through this he would turn every warrior into a great army.
The territory of the Persian armies collapsed like swarming flies. Worshiping idols and fire with them will fall in the same way…! The remnants of the defeated Persian army, the commanders and the bravest warriors, seeing the death of Rustam, fled everywhere and dispersed. The Muslims pursued them as far as the city of Nahovand, then attacked Madoin and took the palace and the golden crown of Kisra, the Persian king.
In the battle of Madoin, Sa'd showed great heroism. The Battle of Madoin took place about two years after the Battle of Qadisiyah. In the meantime, small clashes between the Muslims and the Persians continued until all the Persian armies arrived in Madoin and prepared for a decisive battle.
Sa'd sees time working in favor of the enemy. So he decided not to miss the opportunity to attack. But how is it that the Tigris River, which overflows between him and the enemy, is blocked? It was at this point that the brave Sa'd proved that Abdurahman ibn Awf did not describe him in vain as "the man who caught the lion in his claws." Of course, Sa'd's faith and determination did not bow to danger, but began to strive for great courage, which was extremely impossible and difficult.
So Sa'd ordered his soldiers to sail across the Tigris River. First, a safer and shallower place to cross the river was found. Before the crossing operation began, Sa'd had in mind the idea of securing the other side of the coast where Muslims would sail. On the other side, the Persian army was armed to the teeth and preparing to fight the Muslims. At the same time he equipped two separate armies. The first army was called the "army of fear" and Sa'd appointed 'Asim ibn' Amr as its commander. The name of the second army was the Gung Army, and Qaqa ibn Amr was appointed its commander. The task of the warriors of these two armies was to make now a safe place for the warriors to enter the horror and sail behind them. They were able to accomplish this task with astonishing skill. On this day, Sa'd's plan came so right that all historians were amazed at him. This victory surprised both Sa'd himself and his brother Salman Farsi, who took part in the battle. Surprised, Salmon clapped his hands together and said with great joy:
“Of course, Islam is great. I swear by Allah that the seas were subject to him as the land was subject to him. I swear by the One in Whose hand is Salman's soul that the Muslims swam out of the river in groups just as they did in groups. ”
Yes… It was the same. Just as the Muslims were thrown into the Tigris River in droves, so they did not lose a single soldier in droves, but they were a threat to the hearts of the Persians. came out of the water. As they crossed the river, one of the soldiers dropped his bow arrows from his hand. Immediate, because he considered it difficult to remain the only Muslim who had lost his bullet among all Muslims
and called on other Muslims to help pull his arrow out of the bottom of the water. At that moment, a big wave came and threw his arrow in the direction where some Muslims were sailing. And they caught him at once.
One of the historical narrations tells us about the state of sailing from the Tigris:
Sa'd commanded the Muslims to say, "Hasbunullahu wa ne'mal wakil." He then descended to the Tigris on horseback. After him, the Muslims were also thrown into the water. None of them tried to hesitate or lag behind. They filled both sides in the water and began to move as if they were moving on the ground. The surface of the water was invisible due to the large number of cavalry and infantry. The soldiers spoke calmly on the water, just as they walked on the ground .The reason was that they were calm and had a deep faith in the help, support and promise of Allah.
When 'Umar appointed Sa'd as governor of Iraq, he set out to improve the land for the Muslims. He built the city of Kufa. And it is in this vast and great country that he has established the rules of Islam.
One day, the people of Kufa complained about the Commander of the Faithful, 'Umar Raga Sa'd. Their rebellious nature aroused them, and they revealed their ridiculous suspicions, which were wrong. They are:
They complained that Sa'd did not know how to pray properly.
Upon hearing this complaint, Sa'd smiled and then said:
“By Allah, I am reciting to them the prayers of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). I am making the previous two rak'ahs longer and the other two rak'ahs shorter.
'Umar, not angry, summoned him to Madinah. When 'Umar tried to bring him back to Kufa, Sa'd laughed and said:
"Are you ordering me to return to the people who suspected that he did not know how to pray?"
Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas preferred to stay in Madinah.
After the assassination of 'Umar, the Commander of the Faithful, he chose six of the Companions of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to appoint a new caliph. Umar ra said:
"I chose six people who agreed with the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)."
Among them was Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas. Perhaps it is clear from 'Umar's last words that if he had wanted to choose one of the Companions as his caliph, he would have chosen Sa'd.' Umar bequeathed it to his Companions and said:
"If Sa'd is appointed caliph, so be it," he said. If anyone else is appointed to the caliphate, let him rely on Sa'd. '
Sa'd lived a long life. When great conspiracies came, he not only distanced himself from them, but commanded his mind and his children not to bring him any news of these conspiracies. One day his nephew Hisham ibn Utbah ibn Abi Waqqas came to him and said:
"Uncle, here a hundred thousand swords see that you are the most deserving of the caliphate."
Sa'd told him:
“I would rather have my own sword than that hundred thousand swords. If I hit a believer with him, it will not pass, and if I hit a disbeliever with him, he will cut off his head. ”
The nephew, who understood his uncle's intentions and desires, left him alone. When these conspiracies were over and the rule passed to Mu'awiya, Mu'awiya asked Sa'd:
"What happened to you, you didn't fight with us?"
Sa'd replied:
“I was on my way. Suddenly a strong wind rose. When I said, "Ah, ah," and I sank the camel and fell from it, the camel left me. "(That is, he called the conspiracy" the wind "and said," The camel did not want to walk towards the conspiracy. " )
 Muawiya said:
There is no word "ah-ah" in the Book of Allah Lekin .. But Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): 9. And if two parties of the believers fight, then make peace between them.
Muawiya continued:
He said, "You did not fight against the lost people against the just people, nor did you fight against the righteous people against the lost people."
Sa'd told him:
“I will not fight against Ali ibn Abu Talib. Because the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to him:
He said, 'You are like Aaron in the presence of Moses, but no prophet will come after me.'
Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas, who was over 54 in 80 AH, was preparing to meet Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala in his courtyard in Atiq. His son tells us the last moments of his father as follows:
“My father's head was on my chest and he was dying. I cried when I saw this situation. My father said to me:
“Why are you crying, son? Of course, Allah Almighty will never torment me. Because I am from the people of Paradise “…!
Nothing, not even the horror of death, could weaken the power of his faith. Indeed, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) had given him the prophecy of Paradise. He knew that the words of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, were true, and he believed in him. So why be afraid?
“Of course, Allah Almighty will never torment me. Because I am from the people of Paradise. ”
But he wanted to meet his Lord by carrying the work of the wonderful and beautiful impressions he had accumulated in his life through religion. So he pointed to his room and asked her to take out his old cloak. They took out an extremely worn cloak from the room. Then Sa'd ordered his family to wrap themselves in this garment.
"On the day of Badr, I met the polytheists with this cloak and saved it for this day."
Yes, of course, this old garment was not only a simple garment, but also a banner that fluttered over the great and long life of a believer, an honest and courageous man (because in this garment Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas rana had works of prayer.)
Sa'd, the last of the dead emigrants, was carried to Madinah to be among the first to convert to the religion of Allah. His body was found in the soil of Baqeh Cemetery.
 Goodbye, Sa'd…
Goodbye, O Qadisia's nephew. The conqueror of Madoin and the man who extinguished the fire of worship in the Persian lands forever.

It is narrated on the authority of Jabir ibn 'Abdullah that:
“Sa'd was coming, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“This is my uncle. So who can show me his uncle? '
Narrated by al-Tirmidhi.
The reason why the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) called him his uncle is that his mother was from the tribe of Amina bint Wahb Bani Zahra. Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas, may Allah be pleased with him, also called him uncle because the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was from the tribe of Banu Zuhra.
The complete parts of Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas are Sa'd ibn Malik ibn Uhayb ibn Abdumannaf ibn Zuhra ibn Kilab ibn Murra, and their lineage is united with that of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in Kilab ibn Murra.
Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas was one of the first to convert to Islam. He said:
It is narrated on the authority of Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas that
“Before the day I converted to Islam, no one had converted to Islam. It is said that for seven days I was one-third of Islam.
Narrated by Bukhari
Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas (may Allaah be pleased with him) narrated: “Three days before I converted to Islam, I saw in a dream that I was in a state of darkness, and suddenly the moon shone on me as I stumbled into its flood. I walked towards him. In front of me I saw those who had gone to that month before me. I saw Zayd ibn Haritha, Ali ibn Abu Talib and Abu Bakr Siddiq. To them:
I said, "When did you come here?"
"At this hour," they said.
Early in the morning, I was informed that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was secretly calling people to Islam. Then I knew that God had willed good for me, that He would bring me out of darkness into light. So I hurried to Him. I met him in Jiyod Gorge. They were praying. I became a Muslim. He could not come to me except what I saw in my dream. ”
Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas was seventeen when he converted to Islam. He grew up strong, courageous, and had many virtues and happiness from his youth. In particular, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was fortunate enough to be a guardian:
It is narrated on the authority of 'A'isha that:
“When the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came to Madinah, he fell asleep one night and said:
He said, "One of my companions was guarding me at night."
As we stood there, the sound of gunfire was heard. Bas U U zot,
They said, "Who is this?"
He said, 'Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas.'
The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, 'Why did you come?'
He said, "I was afraid of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and I came to protect him."
The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) prayed for him and then fell asleep.
Narrated by al-Tirmidhi and Muslim.
Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas, in accordance with the wishes of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), placed in his heart the protection of Allaah. This is one of the virtues bestowed on Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas by Allah. It is a high degree for the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to find his heart, fulfill his desires and receive his prayers. Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas was one of them.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) placed his hands on the foreheads of Sa'd. Then he stroked their faces, chests and bellies and said, "O Allah, heal Sa'da!" who prayed. Sa'd later recalled, "I still feel the taft of his hands on my chest."

His full name is Sa'd ibn Malik ibn Uhayb ibn Abdumanaf ibn Zuhra ibn Kilab ibn Murra, and his lineage is combined with the lineage of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in Kilab ibn Murra. His father's name was Malik, and Malik's cousin was Abu Waqqas. However, Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas's name is not his father's name, but his kunya.
Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas was one of the first Companions to convert to Islam.
It is known that as a result of the first call of Hadrat Abu Bakr, five of the ten people who were among the nobles of Quraysh at that time, who later became the great Companions and were prophesied to enter Paradise; 'Uthman ibn' Affan, Zubayr ibn al-Awwam, 'Abdur-Rahman ibn' Awf, Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas and Talha ibn Ubaydullah came to faith. At the same time, Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas was considered to be the third person to convert to Islam.
It is narrated on the authority of Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas that:No one had converted to Islam before the day I converted to Islam. Notably, I remained a third of Islam for seven days"(Narrated by Bukhari). Our scholars carefully studied all the information and came to the conclusion that Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas was the seventh Muslim. These sources indicate that Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas was one of the first to embrace Islam and was a source of great bounty for him.
As soon as Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas proclaimed his faith, he was put to the test. It is narrated on the authority of Sa'd that he said:Sa'd's mother swore to him not to speak to him or eat him until he had blasphemed his religion. And "Allah has commanded you to obey your parents, I am your mother, and I command you to do so!" he said. So he fainted after three days of torment. His son Umara got up and gave him (something) to drink.
In another narration:Whenever they tried to give him a drink, he would open his mouth with a stick and pour it. U Sa'dni duoi began to deteriorate. So Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents. If they strive to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, then do not obey them."(Narrated by Imam Muslim and Imam al-Tirmidhi).
It is narrated in the above hadith that Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas had a quarrel with his mother. And We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents. If they strive to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, then do not obey them. The situation becomes even clearer when we study the narrations about the reason for the revelation of the verse.
Al-Tirmidhi narrated that this verse was revealed about Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas and his mother Hamna bint Abu Sufyan. He was kind to his mother. Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas had grown up with the qualities of a warrior from a young age. He practiced archery a lot. That is why they have become skilled and famous trustees. From the moment that the light of faith illuminated his heart, they became a fanatical army of Islam. He would not hesitate to face the enemy in any difficult situation. He was one of the first to convert to Islam, just as Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas was one of the first to convert to Islam. In particular, when migration was allowed, Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas was one of the first to migrate from Mecca to Medina in the name of religion and faith. They stood by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in all matters after the migration.
On the first day of the Hijrah, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) sent Ubaydah ibn al-Harith ibn 'Abd al-Muttalib to Sariyyah. They were the first sari. Sariya was to clash with a caravan of Quraysh. The sari of the Muslims consisted of sixty emigrant Companions. In these first outings of the Muslims, the first flag was also hoisted. Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas was chosen as the first flag bearer. The two sides collided. Abu Sufyan was the leader of the polytheists. The first armed conflict took place between the polytheists and the Muslims. It was then that Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas was the first to shoot at the enemy.
On the day of Badr, Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas used to stand in front of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and shoot at the enemy with his bow. Before each shot, he said, “Oh my God! Shake their steps, instill fear in their hearts, urge them, urge them to do so. ” If the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Oh my God! Accept Sa'd's prayer! ” they would say. The same marksmanship of Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas was achieved in the battle of Uhud. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas: “Ot! May my parents sacrifice for you! Fire! ” It's a big deal. He was the first to say this to Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas. This phrase also means that he is a virtuous person. For the second time in the Battle of the Trench, he said, "May my parents be sacrificed for you!" He said this to Zubayr ibn Awwam and then did not tell anyone else.
Imam al-Tirmidhi narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas: "O brave young man!" Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas alone.
It is narrated on the authority of 'A'isha that:When the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came to Madinah, he fell asleep one night and said, 'One of my Companions was guarding me at night.' While we were standing there, we heard the sound of a gun. He said, "Who is he?" they said. He said, 'Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas.' Why did you come? ' The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, 'I came to protect the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) out of fear of him.' The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) prayed for him and then fell asleep"(Narrated by Imam al-Tirmidhi and Imam Muslim).
This would not have happened if Allah had not inspired Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas as a result of His Messenger's will. See how blessed it is to receive the prayers of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in accordance with what he wished for at night.
It is narrated on the authority of Sa'd that he said:The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: O Allaah, when Sa'd prays to You, accept it. they said"(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi).
Fifty-fourth Hijri date. Aqiq is a district on the outskirts of Madinah. Eighty-three-year-old Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas is preparing for the journey. The man’s sons recounted: “My father's head was in my arms. He was dying. I cried. He said, “Why are you crying, son? Surely Allah will never punish me. I am from the people of Paradise. "
Then the man pointed to the box. They opened it. They took an old cloak from inside. Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas ordered his family to wrap themselves in that cloak and said, “I wore this when I fought the polytheists on the day of Badr. I have kept it for this day. "
The funeral of Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas was recited by Marwan ibn Hakam. His pure bodies were buried in Paradise. Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas was the last of the ten to die. Some of our scholars say that the last of the emigrants to die was Sa'd ibn Abu Waqqas.
