The highest mountains?
???????????????
They conquered the highest peaks in the world, Jomolungma (Sakarmatha, Everest), which is 8848 above ground level. The Tibetans call Jamolungan the "Mother Goddess of the World." Nepalese call him Sagarmatha, the "Ruler of the World." A century ago, this height attracted the attention of topographers. One of them was George Everest, and the peak was named after him for his geographical services. The first plan to climb Mount Everest was developed in 1893 and the first attempt was made in 1921 to conquer the summit. It took 13 years for Everest to fail on March 30 to reach the summit. On May 1953, 29, Hillary and Tensing conquered the highest peak of the Himalayas on the border of Nepal and India, raising the flags of Great Britain, Nepal, India, and the United Nations.
