Admonitions of Imam al-Ghazali

SHARE WITH FRIENDS:

Do not congregate on roads and streets;

Don’t choose stores to chat with;

Don’t argue with rude, uneducated, and naughty people;

When expressing an opinion, say, "This is my view";

When praising something or someone, don’t exaggerate;

Don’t do things that are only for you in meetings;

Listen carefully to a good word;

Know the norm when using fragrant things;

Don’t set yourself on fire for the fulfillment of certain dreams;

Be calm even to those who violate the rules of treatment towards you;

Do not feel humiliated at all in the generosity of the rich;

Have you promised, be determined to do it;

Just and only tell the truth;

Say acceptable words everywhere, try to speak nicely;

If you want the pleasure of your body, eat less and drink less!

Only speak when you have a listener;

Avoid repeating a single word;

Do not deceive or ridicule anyone;

If you don’t like what you’re selling and they bring it back, accept it;

Don’t experiment and get used to lying;

When thirsty, rinse your mouth before drinking water;

When walking in the market, don’t hurt anyone;

Do not touch anyone’s property without the owner’s permission;

Do not speak with a bite in your mouth;

Do not over-point with your hands or fingers when speaking.
