September 23 - the birthday of the great jurist, Imam Burhoniddin Marginani
Burkhaniddin Marginani (full name Abdulhasan Ali ibn Abubakr ibn Abduljalil al-Fargani al-Rishtani al-Marginani) (1123.23.09 – 1197.29.10).
The great jurist, Imam Burhoniddin Marginani was born in Rishton district of Fergana. First, he studied under his father Abubakr ibn Abduljalil, then Imam Bahauddin Ali ibn Muhammad Asbijabi. He received Islamic education in Rishton, Margilon, Bukhara, Samarkand and other cities of Movarunnahr, and gained a reputation as a great jurist of the Hanafi school, one of the schools of Sunni religious law. They became Shaykhulislam. He went on a pilgrimage in 1149 and lived in Samarkand until the end of his life and died there (he was buried in the Chokardiza cemetery.)
