This project, established in 2006 under the auspices of the United Nations, is financed by Norway and has a value of 9 million dollars. In this plant warehouse, each country received its own division. The purpose of such a seed bank is to prevent their destruction due to possible global disasters such as asteroid impact, nuclear war or global warming. The warehouse has enough space for 4,5 million seed samples.
