One of the most talented poets in the history of Uzbek literature, Muhammadniyaz Nishoti from Khorezm, lived in the 1198th century. His epic poem "Husnu Dil" has reached us. It was recently revealed that he also had a book called The Bird Debate. One manuscript of this work is kept in the manuscript fund of the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Abu Rayhon Beruni of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan in inventory number 1198, the second copy is kept in the personal library of the late Porso Shamsiyev, Honored Scientist of Uzbekistan. Both manuscripts were copied in Khorezm around the XNUMXth century. In one of these manuscripts the work is called in Persian "Munozarai murgon", in the other - "Birds arguing with each other". Both manuscripts are not perfect. They complemented each other in preparing the text for publication. The manuscript in inventory XNUMX does not have an introduction to the second manuscript.
In his work, the poet sharply criticizes the various vices of a number of social groups of the time - selfishness, boastfulness, ignorance, and so on. It is not surprising that this work was written before the epic Husnu Dil. The definition of the "Bird Debate" further enriches the history of our literature.
