PATIENCE IS A GUARANTEE OF HONOR
Patience and contentment are always necessary for man. When good comes, when evil comes, when there is harm, when there is profit. One of the meanings of the word patience is to behave in times of crisis.
Regarding the divine meaning of patience, the scholars have given a number of complementary definitions:
Patience is one of the most beautiful deeds of the nafs, and it is to refrain from doing things that are good and not beautiful.
Patience is steadfastness in the rules of the Qur'an and Sunnah.
Patience is to be polite when trouble strikes.
Patience is the steadfastness of the heart in times of distress.
    Patience consists of three parts:
1. Patience in the obedience of Allah.
2. Patience in refraining from sin.
3. Patience in the test of Allah.
Allah the Almighty says in the Qur'an: (Surat ash-Shura, 43)
In this verse, Allah calls for patience and commands forgiveness. First of all, it is not easy to do this work. Furthermore, the more good qualities are promoted, the less.
The situation in the world may be different. Sometimes criminals, tyrants, and aggressors seem to be lucky. When you look at it this way, it looks like their work is great, their days are spent in joy and revelry. Let them have half, if not all, of the world, but what is the value of five-day transient world rags? What do those who achieve it actually achieve? But those who are patient will have done the work of courage and will be fully rewarded.
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): (Surat az-Zumar: 10)
Some of our scholars have said, "When the reward is given to the patient, it is given in bulk without counting."
Patience is a quality that every Muslim man and woman should have. Without this great quality, a person will not be able to fulfill the suggestions and commands of a Muslim. Man must endure the calamities that befall him. He must be patient in the pursuit of the highest positions he aspires to. Only patience is passed through various trials and tribulations.
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Those who are patient and do good deeds will have forgiveness and a great reward.”
The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I swear by the One in Whose hand is my soul that whatever Allaah has ordained for a believing slave will be good for him. If he is happy, he will be thankful, he will be well. If he is upset, he will be patient, it will be good for him. This is only for the believers.
Allaah says in the Qur'aan: "Verily, We will reward those who are patient with the best of what they used to do." (Surat an-Nahl, 96)
Again, Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Seek help through patience and prayer. And of course, it is a great thing for anyone other than the broken ones. ” (Surat al-Baqara, 45)
This means that a Muslim strives diligently for everything and, at the same time, seeks Allah's help. Patience, in a negative sense, as many imagine, is not patience in saying, “I am patient no matter what,” but patience in overcoming the hardships we face in the process of doing what God says. The most important air of patience is endurance, leaving behind lust and pleasure and walking according to what Allah has said. Prayer, on the other hand, is something that binds a person to Allah, and through prayer, a person attains strength, endurance, endurance and endurance. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to hurry to pray when he had a difficult task.
Allaah says in the Qur'aan: “O you who believe! Seek help through patience and prayer. Surely Allah is with the patient. (Surat al-Baqara, 153)
The call for patience is repeated many times in the Qur'an. Because Allah needs patience both in obedience and in avoiding sin, overcoming obstacles in the way, and when one is weak, and in restraining one's desires.
One of our past scholars has divided patience into three general categories:
1. Patience in refraining from what Allah has forbidden and from sin.
2. Patience to make recovery and sacrifice.
3. Patience in the face of adversity and hardship.
This means that a believing Muslim slave must have a great deal of patience to overcome these difficulties. But just as everything has its limits, sometimes patience can run out. In this case, only prayer will help. Prayer is an endless helper. It is a source of strength, strength, support to the heart, patience to patience, calmness and serenity. That is why Allah calls the Muslim Ummah to patience and prayer, which is on the verge of hardship, and then says, "Surely Allah is with the patient servants."
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said in his hadeeth, “Whoever is blessed with patience by Allaah, he will never be deprived of the reward.”
Patience is half of faith. Of course, in this life the slave is always tested. Sometimes with good situations, sometimes with hardships and difficulties. All of this requires constant patience. The highest level of patience is patience in the first minutes when a person is afflicted.
It is narrated on the authority of Anas ibn Malik. One day, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) passed by a woman who was weeping in front of a grave and said, “O woman, fear Allaah and be patient in this situation.” She said, "Stay away. You are not as bad as I am." The woman did not know him. It was said to her, "The one you spoke to was the Prophet." She immediately came to the door of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and said to him, 'I do not know you.' He said, "Patience is the first blow."
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) only asked her to be patient for what she had lost and to attain the reward of Allaah. Of course, real patience - they said it would be real the first time.
It is said that a Muslim's patience in enduring great and small calamities, serious illnesses, and thorns is an expiation for his sins.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayra that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: He will atone for his mistakes. ”
In another hadith, it is stated that for a Muslim slave, enduring illness will lead to attaining Paradise.
It is narrated on the authority of 'Ata' that Ibn 'Abbas said to me, "Shall I show you a woman from the people of Paradise?" he said. "Yes," I said. “This is a black woman. He came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and said, 'O Messenger of Allaah, I am suffering from seizures. He said, “If you will and persevere, you will have Paradise. I pray to Allah for your recovery. ” She said: “I am patient, but I have to open up. Pray to Allah that I do not reveal myself. ” Then our Prophet prayed for him.
This means that a person must live with patience and contentment throughout his life, in any situation. Patience is the foundation of all virtues. Therefore, Allah repeatedly states in the Qur'an that patience is one of the main qualities of believers. Our scholars say that if virtues are like a whole body, then patience is the beginning of that body.
When two of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) met, they would not disperse without reciting Surat al-Asr to each other. In it, they called each other to patience and explained how they would benefit from the happiness of the two worlds with this verse.
Is it not the greatest happiness for man to win the love of God, to become his beloved servant? So, the answer to the question of how to attain the love of Allah, how to gain His approval, and how to attain the supreme blessing of Paradise is the following verse of Allah Almighty.
    "God loves the patient."
May Allah bless us all with His love.
