The Royal Palace, located in Bangkok, used to be the residence of the kings and is now one of the main attractions of the Thai capital. The palace was built at the end of the 18th century during the reign of Rama I, when the capital was moved to Bangkok. There are ancient temples, galleries decorated with Thai epic characters and administrative buildings on the territory of the palace.
