Bangkok is the capital of Thailand. It is located in the south of the country, on the left bank of the Menamchao-Praya River. The majority of the population are Siamese and partly Chinese. Bangkok is the country's largest political, economic and cultural center, a major foreign trade port, and an international airport. More than half of the country's industrial enterprises are located in Bangkok. 75% of the country's exports and 90% of its imports pass through Bangkok
