People to whom zakat is given

Zakat is given to: Of course, almsgiving is obligatory by Allah only for the poor, the needy, the collectors of alms, those whose hearts are acquainted (with Islam), the freeing of the necks (slaves), it is given to those who are in debt and those who are on the path of Allah (i.e. those who are going on jihad or pilgrimage) as well as those who are traveling travelers. These are the ones to whom zakat is given. The one who gives zakat must give the zakat to each of these eight categories, or to one person or a part of them, regardless of which category.
Zakat cannot be given to the Bani Hashim and their slaves, parents, grandparents, sons and daughters, grandchildren, wives, disbelievers and the construction of mosques and madrasas.
