       Understanding bacteria.

Bacteria are found everywhere on earth. They do not have a core (picture). Their DNA is located in the cytoplasm (Fig. The size of bacteria varies from 1 to 10-15 microns. They contain genetic information in one circular DNA molecule, which is located in the cytoplasm. Another interesting phenomenon occurs in them, that is, all their genes receive genetic information without stopping. The bacterial cell is surrounded by a membrane that separates the cytoplasm from the cell wall. It contains ribosomes and carries out protein synthesis. Enzymes related to the life activity of bacteria are scattered throughout the cytoplasm or attached to the inner side of the membranes. Usually, bacteria multiply by dividing into two. Spores are formed when the conditions are aggravated or when metabolic products accumulate a lot. Spores are very viable, and in a dry state they retain their viability for hundreds or even thousands of years. Sudden changes in temperature do not affect the spores. Disease-spreading bacteria are mainly treated with various antibiotics (Fig.
