- So you need to do the following on your smartphone:
• Open the menu in the Google Maps app. Click the Google Account icon at the top of the screen.
• Select "Offline Maps", then "Select Map".
• For offline use on the map, select the area you want to download and click the "Download" button.
• Wait for the download to finish.
