 June 2 is Civil Aviation Day in Azerbaijan

  Every year on June 2, Azerbaijan celebrates the Civil Aviation Day, a professional holiday for aviation workers. The celebration of this holiday was established on May 2006, 18 by the decree of the President of Azerbaijan. The date of this date is June 2, 1938, the date of formation of the first aviation group in Azerbaijan. On October 9, 1992, the Republic of Azerbaijan became a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization. In 2002, it became a member of the European Civil Aviation Conference and annually cooperated with international civil aviation organizations. To date, 29 countries have signed air agreements with Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani aircraft fly to 32 countries around the world. Passenger and cargo transportation is carried out on Boeing-757, Boeing-767, Airbus-319, Airbus-320 and Airbus-340-500 aircraft.
