Fujiyama - (in the Ainu language, Fuji means the goddess of fire, in Japanese, yama means mountain) is an unextinguished volcano on the island of Honshu, the highest peak in Japan (3776 m). Fujiyama is the second highest volcano in Eurasia (followed by Klyuchi Sopkasi and Kerinchi volcano on the island of Sumatra). Fuji is located about 100 km southwest of Tokyo. Fujiyama is mainly composed of basalt and andesite lavas. It was shot for the last time in 1707-1708. The crater is in the shape of a right cone, the diameter is 700 m, the depth is 250 m. It is covered with ice for 10 months of the year. Evergreen forests and shrubs are found on the slopes, and tundra climatic conditions are formed on the top of the mountain. Fujiyama is the sacred mountain of the Japanese. There are many tourists.
