The largest film forum in the Belarusian capital, Minsk, the International Film Festival "Listopad" will start on November 7 (2014) and will last for a week. Every year, the Belarusian festival brings together film industry professionals, amateur cinematographers and well-known cultural figures from many countries. The main concert of the Listopad Film Festival will take place at the Minsk Palace of Ceremonies. The main purpose of this film forum is to promote the Belarusian film industry. These include: creating a high socio-cultural status of cinema, maintaining unity in the field of cinematography with Russia, CIS countries, CIS countries, developing creative relations and sharing experiences with foreign colleagues, supporting youth creativity in the field of cinematography, among others. Listopad has been operating since 1994. In the first year he participated with 12 films from Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. Over time, the festival gained a high reputation, and in 2003 the festival was attended not only by films from CIS countries, but also by films from Poland, the United States, Iran, Serbia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, China and Japan. Today, the festival is one of the largest European film festivals in the world, gathering and showing the best premieres. In 2013, more than 40 countries participated with 145 films. In addition, as a sign of the organization's rise to the top, Listopad was appointed in 2013 as a representative of the International Federation of Producers. Listopad is one of the most prestigious film forums in the world - Moscow, Berlin, Cannes, Venice. The film festival is not limited to film competitions, but also includes screenings of the past, meetings with well-known cinematographers, press conferences, educational forums, seminars and various exhibitions and evenings.
