It is best to wipe the phone with a plain paper towel, open the battery compartment, and inspect the charger and headphone connectors. The dry napkin absorbed the moisture well. Someone prefers to dry on a heater, someone else in the sun, these methods are also good, but time consuming. Don’t even think about drying in the oven or microwave, as even an experienced craftsman can get into a situation where they can’t recover. The sooner you take it to the master, the more likely you are to recover.

3. You’ve followed the recommendations above, but you don’t have time to take it to a nearby workshop. Then you need to completely absorb the moisture in the phone. Separate the case and wrap it tightly in damp foam material. As a absorbent material can be used women's tools such as a simple napkin, silica gel (comes in a package in boxes that put shoes and appliances) or Always Ultra. These materials absorb ten times more liquid than their own weight. By the way, you can also use a diaper for children.

Some recommend rice or various cereals to absorb moisture, but these remedies are of little use. Some suggest dipping the phone in alcohol instead of drying it, as if to absorb moisture. But the medical alcohol sold at the pharmacy is up to 70 degrees, which is 30 percent water. Go ahead and keep in mind that even if you have 96 percent alcohol, it can damage your electronic device. Alcohol will damage the display light, and the microphone and camera will be damaged. Immersion in vodka is not recommended at all, because alcohol is likely to harm not only people but also equipment.

4. But you have to take the phone that fell into the water to the workshop anyway. Damage caused by water to the phone is a bit expensive, not easy to repair. If not treated well, the following complications remain:

The phone runs out of power quickly. When oxides remain in important elements, a short circuit occurs and "consumes" energy.

The contact of the charger or headset connector loses sensitivity.

Interruptions in speaker and microphone performance are common. The oxide residue in contact with these components prevents the film from working as in the brochure.

The circuit contacts are disconnected. This is the most severe consequence of moisture. As a result of damage to the contacts in the welded areas, the tin is crushed by the effect of microcurrent. If it is dropped from a height of only 20 cm, the board may fail completely. If there is a defect in the eye area, an experienced craftsman can adjust it. If the invisible contacts of the microprocessor are broken, say goodbye to your device: it is impossible to fix it, and even then it will be more expensive than the phone itself.
