Every year in the first month of summer, the International Krapiva Festival is held in the village of Krapivna near Tulaga. The organizers of this wonderful event are the staff of the Yasnaya Polyana Museum-Reserve, the district administration and the International Foundation "LNTolstoy Heritage". In this ancient village, nettles are loved and valued. Not only is it a symbol of the Festival, its branches are inscribed on the coat of arms of the city and are also a symbol of the city.
