September 12 White Nights Festival in Rome

The White Nights Festival in Rome is basically the Night of the Museums. This day falls on September 2015, 12. This festival is a well-known festival in Rome and it takes place on the second weekend of September, in the Italian capital. As this holiday is also "Museum Night", from early morning to late night all the historical places of the center will be open for everyone. The celebration usually lasts from 20.00pm on Saturday to 8.00am on Sunday. Although this festival is called “White Nights”, there are no real white nights in Italy. The reason for this is that foreign guests and the Romans spend the day in the capital in the morning cultural and educational recreation, visiting museums, ancient monuments, cinemas, theaters, visiting sports facilities, and having a cultural holiday in restaurants and cultural facilities. The Roman state first celebrated this holiday in 2003. Tonight will be an opportunity for Roman residents to get acquainted with the history of the origin of the city of Permanent Green, its architectural and cultural richness. This fun night-celebration was remembered with bright impressions throughout his life thanks to the initiative of the local people. In the first year of the festival, 1,5 million people attended, and in 2004, 2 million people, and in 2005, nearly 3 million people roamed the streets despite the rain at night in Rome. Since then, it has become a tradition to hold "White Nights" in the Italian capital.
