About Sanat Devonov

Theater and film actor San'at Devonov was born in Khanka district of Khorezm region. In 1973 he graduated from the acting faculty of the Tashkent Institute of Theater and Fine Arts. From 1946 he worked as an actor in the musical drama and comedy theater named after Ogahi in Khorezm region. From 1988 to 1992, he was the director of the Hamza Uzbek State Theater (now the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theater). San'at Devonov has worked as an actor at the Ogahi Musical Drama and Comedy Theater, starring in more than a hundred plays and creating vivid images. He created Hamlet (Shakespeare, "Hamlet"), Alisher Navoi (Uygun, I.Sultan, "Alisher Navoi"), Neznamov (A.Ostrovsky, "Innocent culprits"), Askar (U.Hojibekov, "Arshin mol olan") Images such as Tahir (S.Abdulla, "Tahir and Zuhra") were applauded and loved by the audience. San'at Devonov has been involved in cinema since 1954, creating dozens of detailed images. San'at Devonov became well-known to the cultural community of the republic with his portrayals of the Traveler in the film "Blessed Blood" (1956) and Sharif in "I'm fascinated" (1958). Sherali, The Red Sands (1969), Jumaev (1972), Juraev, The Fiery Beach (1974), Hasanboy, The Long and Near Years, 1976 He created such images as Rizaev and found his place in the art of cinema. He also portrayed Abdugani in Dovzhenko's Star Lights (1971), Salim in The Wrestlers (1972) at the Tajikfilm studio, and a milkmaid in the Bulgarian Rally. Sanat Devonov's services in the Uzbek theatrical art of vakino were deservedly awarded. He was awarded the honorary title of "People's Artist of Uzbekistan." In 2001, he was awarded the Order of Labor Glory.
