Sayyid Muhammad Bahauddin ibn Sayyid Jalaliddin

Sayyid Muhammad Bahauddin ibn Sayyid Jalaliddin was born in 1318 in the village of Qasri Hinduyon (Qasri Orifon) near Bukhara. Naqshband entered the path of mysticism from a young age, studied its secrets, and mastered the Qur'an, commentaries and hadiths. He was engaged in farming and later painted various patterns on silk fabrics, iron and copper products. That is why his nickname was "Naqshband".

Bahauddin Naqshband considered Abdulhaliq Gijduvani as his pir and master and developed his teachings. Naqshbandi wrote 13 works on the theory and practice of mysticism. Among them, such works as "Hayotnoma", "Dalili oshiqon", "Odob al-solikin" are of special importance. Hoja Bahauddin founded the Naqshbandi sect and widely propagated mysticism in many cities of Arabia, Iran and Central Asia.

The main essence of Naqshbandi is "Dast ba koru, dil ba yor!" ("The hand is in the work, Allah is in the heart"). Bahauddin (the pride of the religion) was called "Balogardon" because he was a prophetic man. A. Temur, A. Navoi, A. Jami, Makhtumkuli and other great people chose the path of Naqshbandi. Hoja Bahauddin Naqshband died in 1389 in his village. In 1993, the 675th anniversary of Bahauddin Naqshband was widely celebrated in Uzbekistan.
