DYSENTERY

Dysentery is an acute infectious intestinal disease caused by dysentery rods (shigella). Water, food, contaminated hands, household waste, insects (mosquitoes) are infectious factors.

If we focus on the main routes of transmission of the disease: alimentary - through food (vegetables infected with Shigella, bread, milk, dairy products and expired, insufficiently heat-treated semi-finished products), through water - contaminated tap water, through wells, springs and open water basins, household communication - contaminated hands and environmental equipment (dishes, beds - beds, clothes, toys, faucets and door handles).

Symptoms of the disease

The latent period of the disease can be mainly 2-3 days, sometimes up to 12-18 hours. Rising body temperature to 38-39C, abdominal cramps, frequent stools, pus and blood mixed with severe pain, malaise and headache are the main symptoms of dysentery .
Remember that it is important to see a doctor immediately at the first signs of illness!

Preventive measures:

- observance of personal and sanitary-hygienic rules;
- Wash hands with soap before and after meals;
- Wash and eat wet fruits in boiled water;
- Drink boiled water;
- prevention of mosquito breeding;
- pay attention to the cleanliness of the dishes;
- bathing in permitted pools.

  1. Great post. I was checking continuously this weblog and I am inspired!
    Very useful information especially the closing part 🙂 I take care of such info a lot.

    I used to be looking for this certain information for a very long time.
    Thank you and good luck.

  2. You actually make it easy with your presentation but
    I find this topic to be actually something that I think
    would never understand. It seems too complicated
    and extremely broad for me. I'm looking forward to your next post, I'll try to get the hang of it!

  3. Having read this I thought it was very enlightening. I appreciate you
    spending some time and energy to put this short article together.
    I once again find myself personally spending a significant amount of time both reading and
    posting comments. But so what, it was still worth it!
