Block video playback on YouTube
If you enjoy listening to various music collections on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/), then you may not be interested in visual organizers of video information. Moreover, it is often necessary to listen to music collections in background mode.
If you are using a limited Internet connection, then the Music Mode for YouTube (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/music-mode-for-youtube/abbpaepbpakcpipajigmlpnhlnbennna) extension for the Google Chrome browser will help you.
It completely removes the video line, leaving only the sound. Traffic is also no longer required for video downloads, only the audio stream is downloaded. Among extensions, you can pin the 🎶 icon to be permanently visible.
After the desired package is launched, when you turn the slider on the extension to On and press ENTER, the video line will disappear, and in its place the name of the extension will be visible on a black background. If you want to watch the video directly, you can return the video stream to the player by turning the extension slider back to Off and pressing ENTER.
