BASHORAT MIRBOBOYEVA, the first female Uzbek machinist, the first woman to jump with a parachute

Little is known about Bashorat Mirbobayeva (1916-2010). He became a star after an article in the magazine "Ogonyok" ("Alanga"). Photo news was published in 1951. In the picture, Bashorat, wearing a professional typist's uniform, is smiling. Behind it are two railway cars.

Bashorat Mirbobayeva was born in Verny (now Almaty). It is not known how she moved to Uzbekistan, but she started working as a machinist in 1937 and was the first woman to do so in Uzbekistan. His mentor was the Soviet pilot Abdusamat Taymetov (https://uz.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdusamat_Toymetov).

On December 1941, 29, Mirbobayeva, together with the head of the government of the Uzbek SSR, Yoldosh Okhunbobayov, led a delegation to the South-Western Front. Later, he was awarded the titles of Honored Railway Worker of the USSR, Honored Physical Education and Sports Worker of the Uzbekistan SSR.
