Who are the financiers of Uzbek football?
The share of the state, its participation in football, as well as in almost all areas, is very large.
The Tashkent city administration alone spends an average of 50 billion soums a year on Pakhtakor PFC. And there is only one such club in the administration (Bunyodkor PFC).
The following are the sponsors of football clubs:
- PFC "Nasaf" - Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex LLC;
- PFC "Almalyk" - JSC "Almalyk MMC";
- PFC "Bukhara" - LLC "Bukhara Oil Refinery";
- PFC "Neftchi" - Khokimiyat of Fergana region;
- PFC "Lokomotiv" - JSC "Uzbekistan Railways";
- PFC "Shurtan" - Khokimiyat of Kashkadarya region;
- PFC "Navbahor falcons" - Khokimiyat of Namangan region;
- PFC "Surkhan" - Khokimiyat of Surkhandarya region;
A total of 13 clubs are financed by taxpayers on average about 500 billion soums a year, and the result is, unfortunately, no.
