The first mosque in Islam

The Quba Mosque in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, is the first mosque to be built in Islamic history. It was built by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in 622 AD (1 AH).
The mosque has been renovated and expanded several times over the years. In 1829, the Ottoman Sultan Mahmud II ordered the complete reconstruction of the Quba Mosque. The last renovation took place in 1986.

Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad ibn Salman has announced a new project to expand the mosque's area, which will expand the mosque's area by 50 square meters, which is 000 times its current area. When the project is completed, the mosque will be able to accommodate 10 worshipers. The project of the new mosque was designed by Egyptian architect Abdel Wahid al-Wakil.
