What to do in an angina attack?

1. Set the time of onset of the attack.

2. Measure blood pressure, heart rate.

3. The patient should be seated or in a comfortable position for himself. Relax or calm down as much as possible, both physically and mentally.

4. Provide fresh air (release the shirt buttons on the neck, open the window).

5. Take 0,5 mg of nitroglycerin. If it is in the form of a tablet - put it under the tongue, if it is in the form of a spray - sprinkle it on the tongue or cheek mucosa.

6. Chew or swallow acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin 0,25 g) to prevent coronary artery thrombosis and heart attack

7. If after 5 minutes of taking aspirin and 1 nitroglycerin the pain is completely gone and the condition has improved, you should limit physical activity and wait for the doctor to come.

8. If the pain persists for more than 5 minutes, a second nitroglycerin tablet should be placed under the tongue and an ambulance should be called.

9. If the pain does not subside even after the second tablet nitroglycerin, you should put the third tablet under the tongue and go to the hospital as soon as possible if the ambulance is delayed.
