World Soil Day

World Soil Day is celebrated annually on December 5 to remind the world community of the importance of soil resources and their role in maintaining ecosystems and enhancing human well-being.

The history of this day begins in 2002, when the relevant resolution was adopted by the International Union of Soil Sciences. After that, scientists focused on the need to understand the international importance of our planet's soil resources.

Their mission was to rethink the understanding of ordinary citizens and governments around the world about the role that soil resources play in human and national life, as well as in the planet's ecosystem. Only realizing the importance of preserving the soil resources of our planet can fundamentally change the policy of any government in this regard.
