Is it true that you gain weight when you quit smoking?

Sometimes people complain that they are starting to get heavy by quitting smoking. They therefore draw the wrong conclusion about the link between smoking and weight loss.

It’s not about smoking at all, it’s about people starting to “catch” the stress that comes from quitting smoking and not eating anything when they smoke. The difficulty of quitting smoking is not surprising - tobacco addiction is no less than heroin addiction.

Smoking can also cause disorders in the body’s endocrine system and lead to less weight loss.

This is not the weight loss you need to try. Hormonal level interruptions are a very high price tag for a few pounds.
