Jonathan Swift was born on November 1667, 30 in Dublin. English writer, public figure. His first works are "Ode to William Sancroft" (1690) and "Ode to Congreve" (1693). The continuation of the pamphlet "The Battle of the Books" (1697) in the comic "The Tale of the Barrel" (1704) depicts the struggle between the Catholic, Anglican and Puritan churches in the spirit of parody. 1) is a bitter satire exposing the vices of English society, consisting of a sharp accusation. Swift died on October 2, 1726.
