August 10 - writer Erkin A'zam was born

Today is August 10 - the day writer Erkin A'zam was born (1950-08-10)

Erkin Azam was born in 1950 in Boysun district of Surkhandarya region. He graduated from high school in 1967. In the same year, he entered the Faculty of Journalism of Tashkent State University and graduated in 1972. Adib first worked as an editor at the Radio of Uzbekistan (1972-1976), then as a department editor and literary secretary at the newspaper "Guliston" (1976-1981). From 1981 to 1986, he went to work for the magazine "Yoshlik", and under the leadership of Erkin Vahidov, he showed enthusiasm for the formation of the magazine and for finding its fans. The young writer, who headed the prose department, made a worthy contribution to the emergence of new talented artists along with the improvement of his creativity. During the years 1986-1992, the artist made his worthy contribution to the publication of works and selections of famous Uzbek writers, directing the editorial office of multi-volume works at the publishing house of literature and art named after Gafur Ghulom.
