THE MUSLIMS OF UZBEKISTAN is a religious organization that leads the Muslims of Uzbekistan. It was established on October 1943, 20 at the Congress of Muslims of Central Asia and Kazakhstan in Tashkent. It is part of the Hazrat Imam Complex. Sheikh Eshan Babakhan ibn Abdulmajidkhan first started working in the yard. From 1956 he worked at the Barakkhan madrasah. Since 1992, it has been known as the Movarounnahr Muslim Board. It has been called by its current name since 1996. It operates as an independent organization separated from the state. The agency manages religious affairs among Muslims in Uzbekistan, issues fatwas, appoints imams to mosques, and trains clerics. Financially, it is provided by donations from Muslims to mosques, subsidiary farms, and so on. The governing body of the Office is the Supreme Board. Its chairman is the mufti. The office has departments of law, international relations, education and training, mosques and fatwas. The Imam Bukhari Islamic Institute in Tashkent (1971) and 9 secondary special Islamic schools (2 of them are women's schools) train staff. The department publishes the magazine "Hidoyat" and the newspaper "Islam Nuri". The agency's Movarounnahr publishing house publishes religious literature, a religious calendar, and more. The Muslim Board liaises with many religious organizations in foreign countries. It takes an active part in organizing the annual pilgrimage of 3,5-4 thousand people. In its activities, the Office complies with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Law "On Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations." According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On social assistance and benefits in the further improvement of spiritual and educational work and activities in the field of religion" dated August 2003, 23 No 364 the fund was established. It serves to preserve the true human nature of Islam, to protect our people, especially our youth, from the dangers of religious fanaticism and extremism, to further improve the socio-spiritual environment in our country and to further improve the spiritual and educational work in the field of religion. does.
On the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, large-scale creative work was carried out in Hastimom in connection with the announcement of Tashkent as the Capital of Islamic Culture in 2007 by the International Organization of the Islamic Conference (ISESCO).
