Today, September 27, Uzbekistan also widely celebrates World Tourism Day. The Association of Tourist Organizations of Uzbekistan is holding a tourism festival at the Tashkent State University of Economics today, and in the evening the national company Uzbektourism is organizing trips and leisure hours for its employees in this field. TSU is organized at the initiative of the Faculty of International Tourism. Presentation of the competition "Tourism for the 20th anniversary of independence of Uzbekistan" and the awarding ceremony of the winners of various nominations, a historical and cultural tour of the regional open-air museum "TSU", a press conference and a ceremony. a rally is planned. The festivities will be complemented by performances by music groups, artists of the National Costume Theater, an exhibition of Uzbek cuisine and a display of works by artisans. According to the organizers, the projects implemented by young people and educational programs in this area will strengthen tourism business ties and the system of tourism knowledge, highlight the role of the tourism sector and its contribution to the economy of our country. World Tourism Day was approved by the third UNWTO General Assembly in 1979 in Torremolinos, Spain, and has been celebrated under various slogans since 1980. This year, the official celebrations of World Tourism Day are being held in the Egyptian city of Aswan under the motto “Tourism Unites Culture”, and in 2010 the day was celebrated in China under the motto “Tourism and Biodiversity”. The organizers invite all interested citizens to this holiday and coordinate it with the development of tourism in our country.
