Why is Bachmuth so valuable?

A city in the Donetsk region of Ukraine, it is the administrative center of Bakhmut District and Bakhmut Municipal Community.

Bakhmut (or Artemovsk) is an industrial town at the intersection of the most important roads of the DNR and LNR, famous for its wine production and salt mines.

Mining of rock salt, production of construction materials, machine building, light industry and food industry are well developed in the city.

The city's annual revenue exceeded $2003 million by 100, and many investments were made.

Today, fighting for Bakhmut has been going on since May last year, and most of the city has come under Russian control.
