The Free Samandar (1935)

Poet, prose writer and playwright Erkin Samandar was born in 1935 in the village of Navkhos, Khanka district, Khorezm region. After graduating from the Khorezm State Pedagogical Institute (1952–1957), he worked as a teacher at the Beruni secondary school in the Koshkopir district of the Khorezm region (1957–1958). After that he became the technical secretary of the newspaper "Pakhtakorlar ovozi" of Urgench district. Postgraduate student of the Institute of Language and Literature of the Uzbek Academy of Sciences (1967), editor-in-chief of the Uzbek television studio "Yoshlik" (1967-1969), editor-in-chief of the literary-dramatic program (1975-1977), editor of the regional newspaper "Khorezm Haqiqati" (1977-1990) ), held responsible positions.
Erkin Samandar entered the literary world in the 50s. In 1966, the first collection of poems "Amu Jilolalari" was published. This was followed by "The Youth of the World" (1968), "The Sky is Full of Light" (1970), "The Pearl of Death" (1973), "My Youth" (selection, 1979), "Reception Hours" (1980), "Children on the Beach" ”(1982),“ Yablonya vo dvore ”(Moscow, 1982),“ Spring Evenings ”(1984),“ Shedrost Dawn ”(1985),“ Seasons of Love ”(1987),“ Which Garden Is This Garden ”(1988) , “The Way to the Heart” (1990), “The Book of Love” (1996), “And Again Spring” (2010, co-authored with his daughter Sayyora Samandar), “Youth of the Soul” (2010), a total of 17 collections of poetry were published.
He is the author of more than 100 songs, such as "Stone Tulpar of Heaven", "Golden Box", "In Search of a Song", "Samarkand was built by lovers".
Erkin Samandar's historical works include The Lost Shore of the River (novel, 1989), The Well of God (novel, first book, 1989), Sounds from the Bottom of the Well (novel, second book, 1989), and Pahlavon Mahmud Puryoyvali (2000). ), “Sultan Jaloliddin” (novel, 2007), “Faces of the Sheep or Agahiy” (novel, 2009), “Birds of the West” (novel, short stories and short stories, 2011).
As a playwright he wrote “Javohir” (musical drama, 1984), “Sword of ancestors” (historical drama, 1986), “Jaloliddin Manguberdi” (“Yot cell”, play, 1988), “Prophecy” (musical drama, 1988), “Arabmuhammad ”(Historical drama, 1992),“ I am in my heart ”(musical comedy, 2012). He has made documentaries such as “Avaz Otar”, “Madraim Sheroziy”, “Wisdom of the Long Way”, “Land of a Thousand Horsemen”, “Chairman with the Hand of Agahi”, “Khiva”, “Sand Festival”, “Roads of Destiny”. wrote essays.
These works are full of good people, beautiful nature, human love, love and fidelity, worries of work and life, dreams and aspirations, in short, the desire to discover the deep spiritual roots. Erkin Samandar is also the author of many journalistic works and essays. In The Lost Coast (1989), nature struggles not only with the ecology of the Aral Sea, but, most importantly, with the ecology of poverty, tragedy and its aftermath, the struggle between love and evil.
Erkin Samandar was awarded the title of "Honored Journalist of Uzbekistan" (1990).
