1. Is the admission of children to the 1st grade only online?
No, children can be admitted to public schools in 1st grade in 2 different ways:
– registration by schools;
- by applying online.
Admission is free in both cases.
Areas where online documents for 1st grade are accepted must be approved and announced by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education every year by May 1. The regions of this category mainly include cities.
In other regions, children are admitted to the 1st grade on the basis of registration by schools.
2. At what age is a child admitted to the 1st grade?
Children are admitted to the 1st grade in the year when they turn 7 years old.

Parents or other responsible persons will go to school with the child during the period specified in the electronic queue, and a medical certificate about the child's health should also be taken.
An admission committee consisting of 1 people will be formed for admission to the 5st grade in the school and they will formalize the work related to the admission of the child to the 1st grade.
6. What is the admission process in areas that do not apply online?
In areas that do not apply online, each child is registered by the school.
Their documents are delivered to the school by parents or their substitutes.
The following documents are required:

7. Will there be an exam for admission to the 1st grade?
As a general rule, children are admitted to the 1st grade without selection, regardless of their level of preparation.
There are some exceptions, for example, a child's ability is tested for admission to schools specializing in music and art.
8. Is there an interview for languages ​​where studies are conducted in another language?
Yes, in schools where education is in another language (Russian, English), during the conversation with the child, it is learned that the child has basic communication skills in the chosen language.
If the child does not have basic conversational skills in the chosen language, the admissions committee will take measures to place the child in a class or another school suitable for conversational skills.
The questionnaire on learning the child's skills in another language must be published on the official website of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and must be hung in the school building by June 20 of each year.
9. Can a child be refused school admission?
Yes, it is possible, the admission committee can refuse to admit children to the school in the following cases:
if the medical certificate does not recommend studying at school;
if the child does not have basic conversational skills in the chosen language;
if the given information is found to be incorrect.
In other cases, it is not allowed to refuse admission of children to school.
You can re-submit the application after the deficiencies are eliminated.
10. Is it possible to place a child in a school other than the school to which he is attached?
Yes, you can. Depending on the capacity of the schools, additional children from outside the micro-region may be accepted.
Additional children from outside the micro-region are not allowed to be accepted in schools with a large number of students receiving education in comparison to the replacement of students.
Children from outside the micro-region are admitted to the 1st grade every year from August 1 to 15.
Parents or other responsible persons select the schools with vacancies in the above term and send an application through the my.gov.uz or my.maktab.uz portals.
The application will be reviewed in 1 day and a decision will be made to accept or reject the child.
When a child is admitted to a school, parents or other responsible persons take the child's health certificate from the previous school and hand it over to the new school.
If the child is refused admission to the school, he will be directed to the school in the area to which he is assigned.
In areas that do not apply online, applying to a school in another micro-area is done by parents or other guardians visiting the school in person.
