TORCH is an acronym derived from the initials of the following diseases:
T - Toxoplasma (toxoplasmas - a single-celled free-living organism. They parasitize humans and various mammals and cause very serious diseases. This parasite is found in the muscles of the head and back of the patient, as well as in the blood);
O - Others (others: enterovirus, parvovirus B19, hepatitis B, C, HIV, trauma)
R - Rubella (measles)
C - Cytomegalovirus (cytomegalovirus)
H - Herpes simplex virus (herpes I / II)
Toxoplasmosis
Toxoplasmosis is a disease that is mainly asymptomatic, but infects the nervous system, heart muscle and other organs in people with low immunity and from mother to fetus. Its source is an animal known as Toxoplasma gondii. The local vectors are cats, which are transmitted to mammals and humans as a result of consuming meat products contaminated with the toxoplasmosis pathogen. Transmission from mother to fetus poses a serious risk to fetal development. However, lesions in the prenatal period are not dangerous to the fetus because tissue-based infection does not pose a significant risk to the fetus. If a mother becomes infected with Toxoplasmosis during pregnancy, it can pass into the fetus through the bloodstream and pose a significant risk, especially during pregnancy up to 12 weeks. To prevent toxoplasmosis, it is necessary to adhere to cleanliness, cook meat well, wash hands and used items thoroughly after working with raw meat. Stable immunity is formed under the influence of the disease virus.
Beetroot
Measles is a viral disease that mainly affects children aged 2–10 years, with mild fever and a small red rash, and is severe in adults and pregnancy. Its source is a patient suffering from various forms of the disease. It passes from the mother to the child through the air-droplet path to the healthy person. The effects of measles viruses on the fetus vary depending on the stage of pregnancy: if a woman has measles in the first trimester, the risk of fetal harm is 60-85%, in the second trimester 15-20%, and in the third trimester 5%. If a pregnant woman is in contact with a patient with measles, it is necessary to submit the necessary tests, that is, to determine whether there are antibodies against measles in the blood. If signs of damage are detected in the first trimester of pregnancy, shaving the baby is recommended.

Cataracts, heart defects, and neurosensory deafness can be observed in children born with congenital measles. Stable immunity is formed after this disease.
Cytomegalovirus infection
Cytomegalovirus infection (SMVI) is a viral disease that passes mainly without clinical symptoms, sometimes severely damaging the central nervous system and internal organs, adversely affecting the course of pregnancy. Cytomegalovirus is dangerous because it persists in the patient's body throughout life. The virus is sexually transmitted and transmitted to the fetus through the blood. When cytomegalovirus enters the body and weakens the immune system, it begins to show complications.
Infection with SMVI from the first months of pregnancy can lead to fetal death. Although the lesion does not lead to significant changes in organ structure in the later stages of pregnancy, complications such as jaundice, bleeding, pneumonia, and central nervous system damage are observed after childbirth. Since stable immunity is not formed after infection with SMVI, there is a possibility of re-infection.
Normal herpes
Herpes simplex (OGV) is one of the most common viral infections in the world. There are 2 types. Infection with OGV-1 accounts for 90-95% of the world, and infection with OGV-2 reaches 20-30%. Herpes simplex can lead to severe pregnancy, premature birth, underdevelopment in the mother's womb, or miscarriage.
The source of the virus is patients, i.e., airborne, sexually transmitted, or transmitted from mother to fetus. It was found that OGV infection in the first trimester of pregnancy causes the child to be born with hydrocephalus (a disease characterized by an increase in spinal fluid in the ventricles of the brain), heart defects, cataracts, deafness, urinary tract, gastrointestinal system defects. If the virus spreads in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, it can cause complications such as enlarged liver and spleen (hepatosplenomegaly), anemia, jaundice, malnutrition, and pneumonia.
Even after this disease, stable immunity is not formed and recurrent cases of the disease are observed.

Other viral diseases contained in the word TORCH-infection (Others) have similarly serious consequences.
A high level of parental immunity, adherence to the rules of hygiene, respect for their body and, of course, the abstinence from sexual intercourse and the fact that the waterfall does not enter the street of infidelity guarantee a healthy birth of the child.
