Does the fetus in the mother's womb hear sounds from the outside world?
🔷 At 5-6 weeks of development, the fetus develops a brain, and at 8-10 weeks, auditory analyzers appear. Initially, the fetus hears the heartbeat in the mother's body, the movement of blood in the arteries. From 12-16 weeks all sounds begin to be heard.
🔶 From the 24th week of pregnancy, the fetus begins to recognize the voices of the mother and the people who interact most with the mother. This is why a newborn baby can distinguish the voice of its parents from many sounds. The music that a mother is accustomed to hearing during pregnancy has a calming effect on the newborn, as the baby is born with a memory of pregnancy.
