Why does the stomach make a sound when it is hungry?
👨⚕️Usually this sound is caused by the muscular activity of the stomach and intestines - peristalsis. This happens not only when you are hungry, but also when your stomach and intestines are full. As the speed and intensity of peristalsis increase in the presence of food, its activity increases when the stomach and small intestine are left empty for several hours.
