The Museum of Repression Victims is a scientific and educational institution in the scientific system of Uzbekistan. On the basis of the Decree of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the establishment of the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Repression" dated May 2001, 1, the memorial complex "Martyrs' Memory" was built in Tashkent on August 2002, 31. The museum was established to literaryize the memory of compatriots who were persecuted for their activities and behavior in the Year of Freedom during the Tsarist and Soviet rule. The scientific-thematic exposition of the museum consists of the following 7 sections: the occupation of Turkestan by the Russian Empire in the middle of the XIX century and the popular uprisings against it, the end of Turkestan autonomy and the repressions of the 20s. years, repression in the 30s, repression in the 30s and 40s, repression in the 50s. Respect for the memory of the victims of repressions in independent Uzbekistan. The main tasks of the museum are: to study the causes and consequences of the policy of repression and to reflect it as an integral part of the history of our country; to educate the citizens of our country, especially the younger generation, in the spirit of respect for the memory of our devoted ancestors who fought for the triumph of independence and justice, to perpetuate the memory of the victims of repressions, to carry out spiritual and educational activities study of life and activity of victims of repressions, collection of scientific and creative heritage, preparation for publication and publication, museum funds and expositions of various documents in our country and abroad, etc. Go on a regular enrichment with exhibits. The museum, in cooperation with the Martyrs' Memory Charitable Foundation, has published "The Tragedy of the Village", "Abdulla Qodiriy" (S. Mirvaliyev), "Cholpon" (N. Karimov), Munavvarqori Abdurashidkhonov and Botuv's "Selected Works". In collaboration with the Uzbek Documentary and Feature Film Studio and Uzbektelefilm Studio, he has made such documentaries as "Living Memory", "Mirror of Harmonious Years", "Fidoiy Olim", and "Mirtemir". The museum building is one of the unique architectural structures of our country. Designed and built on the initiative and idea of ​​the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan IAKarimov. The building is built in the traditional architectural style (porch, dome, porch, porch) and decorated with national ornaments. The museum building has a square design (20 × 20 m.), Height 20 m. Dome (height 6.2 m, diameter 5, 8 m., Turquoise dome corresponds to the awning dome of the memorial complex "Memory of Martyrs"), the width of the perimeter of the building is 4 m. Surrounded by an open veranda, it has 28 columns and beams, as well as entrance stairs on all four sides. At the bottom of the building there are technical-engineering, administrative and other rooms, which are organically connected with the exhibition hall through a special corridor and stairs. The building is decorated with marble, real, granite stones, colored tiles, wood (A.Abdullayev, S.Rahmatullayev, N.Sohibnazarov and others), pottery (M.Murodov and others), painting (A.Karimov and others), tiling (M.Mamajonov, R.Muhammadjanov, M.Shedring, V.Gan and others), intricate Iraqi muqarnas were used in the interior decoration of the dome.
