July 17 is Constitution Day in South Korea

Constitution Day is celebrated in central Seoul, South Korea. Constitution Day was approved on October 1949, 1, after the public holidays of the states were enacted into law. The first Republic of South Korea was established on August 1948, 18. Since 2008, Constitution Day has been considered a day off, but is a working day for workers and employees. On this day, there are no events other than a special holiday in Seoul and major cities in South Korea. For many years, running marathons held in different corners of the state have also become a tradition.
