June 20 is World Refugee Day

 Over the years, different countries and regions have celebrated their refugee days of remembrance. The most famous of these is June 20, African Refugee Day, which is celebrated in several countries. As the majority of refugees are in Africa, the UN General Assembly adopted a special resolution No. 2000/4 on 55 December 76 to support them. In this resolution, the General Assembly designated 2001 as the 50th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of Refugees. At the same time, the Organization of African Solidarity agreed to hold International Refugee Day on June 20 at the same time as African Refugee Day.
