Born on September 1254, 15 in the family of a Venetian merchant, Marco Polo was a brave traveler who was able to introduce Europeans to the life of the Asian countries in the Middle Ages. According to Marco Polo, the Khan gave him various tasks, refused to allow him to return to Venice despite his pleas, and even appointed him the governor of Yangzhou for three years.
