When will Islam become the most widespread religion?
By 2070, Islam could be the world’s largest religion, according to a study by U.S. scientists. According to scholars, Islam is the fastest growing religion. If demographic growth continues as it is now, the number of Muslims in the world could surpass that of Christians.
According to the study, the number of Muslims is 1 billion 600 million and the number of Christians is 2.17 billion. According to population growth modeling, by 2050 the number of Christians is expected to reach 2.92 billion and that of Muslims 2.76 billion. It is clear that by 2070, Islam will be the most widespread religion.
