Cramer's scale is used to assess the degree of jaundice in newborns:
I degree - jaundice on the face and neck (bilirubin >80 μmol/l);
Grade II - jaundice spreads to the umbilicus (bilirubin 150 μmol / l);
Grade III - jaundice spreads to the knee (bilirubin 200 μmol / l);
IV degree - jaundice spreads to the face, trunk, arms and legs (>250 μmol/l);
Grade V - generalized jaundice (bilirubin level >350 μmol/l).
Physiological jaundice usually disappears from the toes towards the head. Normally, physiological jaundice in babies should disappear by the 14th day of the child's life.
