❗️Flu (Grippus Influenza) (https://telegra.ph/file/0553a10d3258e66b5da35.jpg) is an acute infectious disease caused by various serotypes of influenza virus, mainly affecting the epithelial cells of the trachea. It is characterized by a general infectious intoxication, tracheitis, and in some cases a definite syndrome of hemorrhagic manifestation, which tends to take on an epidemic character of the course.
📜 The first description of the manifestation of influenza was made in 1403 by the Frenchman Etienne Pasquier. The type A virus was discovered in 1933 by scientists Smith and Landov.
🔠 There are four types of seasonal influenza viruses: A, B, C and D. Seasonal epidemics are caused by influenza A and B viruses.
📊 Every year at least 900 million people are infected with the flu, of which 3-5 million cases become severe. Up to 650 people die from the flu each year. Influenza occurs from time to time all over the world, and people of any age can be infected.
👉 The incubation period lasts from 12 to 48 hours (rarely up to three days).

In other words, strains of influenza A and B viruses that spread on one continent or even one country can spread around the world in a matter of days. Under such circumstances, the possibility of a new pandemic is already a matter of time, not situation.
