November 21 is the day when a person was observed flying in a hot air balloon for the first time in history

For the first time in history, chemist Jean-Francois Pilatre de Rozier and his friend Marquis Francois de Arlando set off to fly in a balloon built by the Mongolfias brothers. The balloon, filled with hot air, rose from the garden of the Chateau de la Muette, a town west of Paris, on November 1783, 21. The pilots climbed to a height of 915 m and covered a distance of 25 km in 9 minutes, and then successfully landed in an open field near the Fontainebleau road. The flight was a remarkable event in its own right, and it was also of great importance as a proof of the correctness of the theories advanced by the chemists.
