Women studying at the master's degree are paid a contract fee

Based on the presidential decree signed on March 2022, 7, it was determined that starting from the 2022/23 academic year, the contract fees of all women studying at the master's level of state higher education institutions will be covered from the state budget. This is a government decision that determines the procedure for introducing this innovation accepted.

According to it, women admitted to and studying at the master's level of state higher education institutions will be paid the basic fee-contract (without stipend) in full.
For this, applicants should apply to the rector (branch director) of the higher education institution where they will study by September 15. On this basis, rectors (branch directors) adopt the relevant order by October 15 every year. Applications submitted after September 15 will not be considered and the contract sums will not be reimbursed.
Along with state universities, this procedure also applies to the following:

— Academy of Public Administration under the President;

— Academy of the Prosecutor General's Office;

— Higher School of Business and Entrepreneurship under the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Alleviation;

— Academy of banking and finance.

Also, this procedure does not apply to female students studying at the master's level in non-state HEIs and branches of foreign HEIs in Uzbekistan.
