Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-1533 and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 2011 of July 25, 214 on the transformation of the Andijan Institute of Engineering and Economics into the Andijan Institute of Mechanical Engineering according to the order of the Ministry of Lim No. 2011 of July 29, 319 Andijan Institute of Mechanical Engineering was established on the basis of Andijan Institute of Engineering and Economics.

Andijan Institute of Mechanical Engineering currently has 5 faculties, which are:

1. Faculty of Automation and Electrical Engineering.
2. Faculty of Automotive Engineering.
3. Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Technology.
4. Faculty of Transport and Logistics.
5. Faculty of Innovative Educational Technologies.

To date, the institute has 16 undergraduate and 5 master's specialties on the basis of the existing faculties "Mechanical Engineering", "Automation and Electrical Engineering", "Automotive", "Transport and Logistics" and "Innovative Educational Technologies". The staff is being trained. The educational process is organized on the basis of 18 existing departments.
